Massive Blow for Simone Biles’ Ex-Coach Softens as Georgia Gymnastics Receives Joyous New Update

1 min read

Georgia Gymnastics and Simone Biles’ ex-coach and Georgia Cecile Canqueteau-Landi took a massive hit when Naya Howard dropped a bombshell on Instagram last Friday, announcing she’s walking away from the program. It was heartbreaking for GymDog fans who watched her make history as their first freshman all-arounder since 2017. Despite battling injuries, she still nailed those 9.900s in multiple events last season. Honestly, it was a major bolt for GymDogs. But it seems like in another update, they have been given a major boost. Well, what is that?

With Howard’s departure still fresh, Class of 2026 standout Autumn Reingold is already making waves and was just named the regional bars champion. Georgia Gymnastics’ official Instagram page posted,” huge congrats to future GymDog Autumn Reingold on being named a regional champion on the bars!” which was shared by Cecile Canqueteau-Landi on her Instagram story.
