Thanks to Travis’ brother, Trayvis’ 17th birthday. Hunter Sr. unlocked his social media drought after a while. He compiled a few eye-candy clips of his youngest son playing football, running the ball with an insane speed and flexing it on his feed, with the caption: ”Happy 17th birthday to my son Trayvis I love u mane man I love u son enjoy ur day….”
The shout-out saw a digital family reunion as Travis’ brother Trayvis reposted it on his IG story and wrote, ”Love you, pop.” The small yet thoughtful exchanges ooze the bond the younger Hunter shares with his brother, and the dad oozes from within.
The man has been an unsung hero in his sons’ lives. Just to provide for his kids, Travis Hunter Sr. sacrificed his passion. 2005 Boynton Beach High graduate, Hunter Sr. wanted to play college football. He had a dream that he would join a JUCO roster in Kansas after graduation, but he had to forget that elusive wish, as he had children to take care of by then. But never mind; he instills that unfulfilled spirit in both of his sons, with one taking the CFB and NFL (draft) world by storm and the other acting up to get on that level. For Travis, his dad has been a strong mouthpiece ever since childhood. In his last couple of posts on his IG feed, he has hyped his superstar son’s highly touted Heisman campaign over the arch-rival Ashton Jeanty.
Trayvis Hunter is also slowly and steadily following in the footsteps of his brother. Trayvis is a sophomore at Effingham County High School and has almost stunned everyone with his impressive wide receiver performance in this season. It’s no surprise that he already boasted two Division I offers from Tennessee State University and Jackson State University. However, Travis Hunter ensures that he works and hustles for his success, controlling his brotherly urge to promote on social media.

Travis is just 21, but as the oldest of four children in the family, he is playing his role as the unofficial adviser and trailblazer in his siblings’ lives and careers. He has a younger sister, Taylor, and two younger brothers, Junior and Trayvis.
As Trayvis steps into the same career as his, it would be easier for Travis to carve an easier path for his bro in the realm. While it would have looked a lot better from the surface-level relationship standpoint, it would harm his little one’s career and ability to thrive on his own in the long run.
”Now, everybody gets to see my little brother. They ask me why I’m not posting him or nothing. Because ain’t nobody posted for me when I was younger. So he’s gonna get it just like I got it. When that time comes, I’m gonna help him figure out where he wants to go. Right now, I just try to tell him, I’m on a mission, Mission: Incomplete, until I can be able to sit down like ya’ll and not have to work another day in my life,” Travis said during a past interview, explaining why he keeps being silent on his brother.
