For most golfers, a hole-in-one is a lifelong dream, but for Phil Mickelson, it’s almost routine. As the captain of Hy Flyers GC and a player with six Major titles and 57 professional wins, Mickelson’s career is filled with incredible achievements. So, it might not come as a shock that he’s racked up an impressive 47 hole-in-ones throughout his career. Yes, you read that right – 47!
In a Q&A for the LIV Golf League’s new season media guide, the 53-year-old revealed just how often he’s managed to sink one of golf’s rarest feats. But Mickelson isn’t the only LIV Golf player with a knack for aces—let’s take a look at the top 3 hole-in-ones in LIV Golf history.
1. Patrick Reed at the 2025 LIV Golf Adelaide
LIV Golf’s most recent and rather dramatic ace came just a few hours ago. It was carded by Patrick Reed at the 2025 LIV Golf Adelaide on the twelfth hole, also regarded as the wild Watering Hole. He began from the back nine, and it was just the second hole for him in the round.
Patrick Reed’s ace at the Watering Hole is his 5th in competition, 6th overall.
It’s the 9th in the history of #LIVGolf … and, of course, the 2nd at the Watering Hole.@4AcesGC_

The 2018 Masters champion sent the 5,000-strong crowd at the 165-yard 12th hole at The Grange Golf Club into a frenzy with a perfectly executed three-quarter swing. The ball soared toward the hole, spinning sharply to the left before dropping in for the second ace at the “party hole” in just three years of the tournament.
2. Tyrrell Hatton at the 2024 LIV Golf Chicago
Tyrrell Hatton made history with the eighth hole-in-one in LIV Golf at the 164-yard island green sixth hole during the second round of the 2024 LIV Golf Chicago—and it was a beauty. “I think that’s the first one they got on camera, so that’s cool,” Hatton said, clearly enjoying the moment. “I just gripped down on a 9-iron around 160 yards, and it landed short, then trickled in on the left side.”
The timing couldn’t have been better. The ace came between two birdies, helping Hatton shoot a sizzling 65 and put himself right back in contention to hold onto third place in the Individual points standings. But it’s not going to be easy. With Fireballs GC Captain Sergio Garcia and Smash GC Captain Brooks Koepka hot on his heels, Hatton knows he’ll need another strong round on Sunday to stay ahead.
“It would be nice to have another good day tomorrow and finish third,” Hatton said. “It would cap off a pretty solid first year on LIV, but guys are playing well this week. If they win, then they deserve to overtake me.” With the leaderboard heating up, the pressure’s on, and Hatton’s got everything to play for.
3. Laurie Canter at the 2023 LIV Golf Singapore
Imagine not being a part of the event initially to carding a beautiful hole-in-one! Sounds pretty much what fate looks like right? Well, the same thing happened with Laurie Canter’s hole-in-one at the 2023 LIV Golf Singapore. As the entire field entered the event, it was announced that Canter would be replacing Sam Horsfield as part of the Majesticks GC, along with Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood, and Henri’s Stenson.
This was because Horsfield had to withdraw because of a sudden injury. During the final round, he managed to card a hole-in-one on the seventeenth hole, which helped him finish at T27. Speaking after the hole-in-one, Canter revealed that: “I ended up going with a 7. I just missed it a little, so I was sort of screaming at it to stay in the air. And, yeah, I mean, when I watched it back, I couldn’t believe how far it pitched on the green. So, I mean, yeah, I guess it’s not the best shot I hit all day, but delighted with the result.”
4. Chase Koepka at the 2023 Adelaide
Chase Koepka was on fire, having racked up three birdies in his first seven holes when he reached the par-3 12th hole, known as the “Watering Hole” in LIV Golf. The hole earned its nickname thanks to its lively, stadium-like atmosphere, where fans relax with cold drinks throughout the day.
At 165 yards on Sunday, Koepka chose a 9-iron for the shot. He launched the ball high, and it landed 15 feet short and right of the pin. Then, it began to roll left—straight into the cup. Koepka couldn’t contain his excitement, slamming his club on the ground before celebrating with his group, including Ian Poulter and Paul Casey.
4. Matthew Wolff at the 2022 LIV Golf Invitational
The firsts are always the most memorable ones! And LIV Golf’s first hole-in-one came during its inaugural season at the 2022 LIV Golf Invitational Series in Boston in September. As Matthew Wolff lined up his tee shot on the second hole of the Oaks Course in Boston, his fourth of the day, a chorus of wolf howls echoed from the lively crowd, adding to the excitement. And, guess what? It was only the fourth event of the Breakaway League.
The echoes only got wilder as his ball landed on the green and smoothly slid into the hole to create history. Wolff said: “That’s the first one. It won’t be the last.”
