Pregnancy—it’s that wild ride everyone paints as glowing skin and adorable baby bumps, right? Well, Kylie Kelce is here to set the record straight. On her podcast, “Not Gonna Lie,” she doesn’t hold back about the less-than-glamorous side of expecting. From relentless nausea that overstays its welcome to food aversions that make you side-eye your favorite snacks, Kylie’s been through it all.
But let’s be real—amidst the chaos, Kylie also dived into do’s and don’t of inducing labor to all the women out there who are expecting soon. And her latest episode? Well, she’s back with yet another episode on her Not Gonna Lie podcast, and this time she talked about some ridiculous struggles—The Underwear Struggles, during pregnancy when she was inspired by a TikTok video that sums up being 38 weeks pregnant.
In her podcast, she ran a TikTok video by a user named John Hartman1 that showed a woman cutting off her underwear instead of bending over to take it off. She first found it absurd, then gave a shout-out to that pregnant girl, and then gave her own comments on this struggle that basically felt like a full-body workout. “Oh, people, this is absurd… but I’m going to let you know my own comments. Power to you, girl,” she started.
“You can always get another pair of underwear, but the idea of having to bend over to get it down past your knees? We’re not doing some wiggle nonsense to get them down without really like, getting them over your knees, right?” Well, it’s totally understandable for Kylie, who’s expecting her fourth daughter and is now 38 weeks pregnant. The kicker?
Well, the 32-year-old Kylie had her own experience. Of course, she didn’t go as far as cutting off her underwear, but yeah, she admitted doing a similar thing. “There have been some ridiculous times that I’ve had during pregnancy that are similar to this,” she continued. “I can’t say that I’ve ever cut off my underwear. Um, but I have had times where I will disappear and come back in like, a robe or a dress.”
And honestly, that shocked her husband, Jason Kelce. The NFL legend couldn’t help but ask why she changed her clothes. Her response? Oh, it’s a legit explanation of her pregnancy struggles. “I have to explain to him (Jason) that the feeling of anything touching my belly in a restrictive way, AKA a band from pants or underwear, is too much to bear,” she further explained.
Moral of the story? Kylie says that “glowing and magical” side of pregnancy is the only part of the story. The other part? Completely opposite. Dealing with discomfort that will have any pregnant woman start googling to induce labor. And guess what? Kylie even warned other moms about what to OPT out of during the pregnancy.
Kylie Kelce has some induction related suggestions for expecting moms
Alright, here’s the deal—Kylie Kelce is out there sharing her views on pregnancy to help soon-to-be moms through her Not Gonna Lie podcast. One of the many reasons why her podcast clinched the Best Emerging Podcast at the iHeart Podcast Awards. Nope, I’m not making that up. Because why not? Kylie’s candid discussions on topics like parenting, social media, and pregnancy have attracted rapid popularity.
And let’s be real—she’s not going to stop at this point. In fact, she’s all in for giving her suggestions to pregnant women out there. Most notably? It’s for those who start Googling ways to induce labor. Her suggestions? Well, it’s actually her obstetricians’ suggestions, to be more specific. “Fortunately for all the listeners, I have asked my OBs about the most common methods (for inducing labor), stuff like drinking herbal teas, eating dates, acupuncture, spicy food,” she said. Oh, and she isn’t done yet.
In fact, she even warned the other moms about strictly opting out of one specific method. “I will say my OBs have explicitly told me no castor oil,” she continued. “So if that comes up on your induction suggestions, the ways to induce labor at home: OPT-OUT.” Besides, she even explained the valid reasons why her OB restricted her from using castor oil.
In her language, it’s pretty simple. “I’m going to tell you the reason I was told not to do that. Very simple: a simple explanation. I’m not going to get into it. You know what I mean? I was told it makes labor messy. Ain’t nobody got time for that,” she finished. Collectively, Kylie Kelce is a full package when it comes to her valid opinions of do’s and don’ts during pregnancy.
