Kyle Busch’s Wife Samantha Extends Gratitude to Hidden Faction Behind Battling ‘Isolating’ Nightmare

5 min read

All sporting successes is fueled by a human story—of struggle, of hope, and of healing. For NASCAR legend Kyle Busch, that fuel has been the emotional road to parenthood that he walked alongside his wife, Samantha. While their racing empire brought glory and accolades, the couple ultimately found their greatest joy in a very different kind of victory. And this is the win that the Buschs dedicate to a hidden community. Who were these secret supporters? These are people that they aim to help now!

A struggle that was far off from the cheering crowds, inside the silent halls of a hospital, was fought for well over a decade. Even amid failed IVF treatments and heartbreaking miscarriages, Samantha remained vocal about her struggles throughout. In a past interview with People Magazine, she once shared, “It was hard though. We would have to go to appearances or sponsor events, and it was during this huge NASCAR baby boom — everybody was pregnant, babies everywhere. And it was so hard to just smile and be like, ‘Oh, you know, one day.”

Despite this, the Buschs are now a happy family of four. And Kyle and Samantha are making it their mission to help as many couples as possible navigate this tough road. How? This is where the Bundle of Joy Fund was born. As it turns out, not everyone can afford the financial burdens of the IVF treatment, which ranges from $15,000 to $20,000. This is where the Bundle of Joy has truly made a significant impact; they have raised almost $2 million. But, apart from the financial struggles, there’s this emotional turmoil the couple have to go through when going through this journey. This is something both Kyle and Samantha understand very well, and they were fortunate to receive widespread support documenting their IVF journey. And in turn inspiring others to do so.

This week, Kyle and Samantha Busch sat down on NBC’s TODAY to talk about their personal journey. The couple confessed to being on a “mission” to support others facing similar challenges, which extends beyond just financial help.“I really think just being there for them, saying, ‘Hey, I don’t know what you need right now. But if it’s a walk, if it’s a night out, whatever it is. Just letting that person lead and showing them that support,” she said, “because battling infertility is very isolating.”

She also tipped her hat towards the social media community who were in their support through thick and thin. “For over 10 years of trying to have our family, social media was wonderful. They were with us through every transfer, every miscarriage, every trial, and cheered us along the way. So we are happy to be advocates in this space now,” she admitted.

Kyle Busch hopped in to mention all the fun they have been having within the community – “So they’re all friends and they all communicate. And each year, we go through and have a Bundle of Joy family night where all the families get together, all the kids, and everybody gets together.” Their little one is also a part of the troupe now. “Brexton enjoys that too, because he is the oldest,” Kyle revealed.

At 9 years old, B-Rex has already bagged a Golden Driller at the Tulsa Shootout, and he even went toe-to-toe against 2-time NASCAR Champ and his dad, Kyle Busch. During the interview, Rowdy, who is about to turn 40, was asked the age-old question about retirement. And well, his response was simple, “I still got plenty in the tank.” Surprisingly, he even cited one of his former teammates to make his case for competing at the top level.

NASCAR’s Next Gen era hasn’t been kind to Busch. After a heartbreaking departure from Joe Gibbs Racing in 2022, he found a new home at RCR. But things haven’t been the same ever since he lost the #18 ride. Yeah, he’s got three race wins to his name in the #8 Chevy, but that is about it. In 2024, he went winless, and his 19-year streak of one race per season also came to an end. It seems like Rowdy is out of touch, and growing age isn’t helping his cause.

With every race, he doesn’t win, the questions about his potential retirement just pop up out of nowhere. Even during his interview at NBC Today, he was reminded about his upcoming 40th birthday and was asked about the noise surrounding his future at NASCAR. To which he responded, “I’ve heard plenty of the talk. I know I’m turning 40, Denny Hamlin is there, he’s 44 and he is winning races. So 37 to about 43, you’re in your prime in NASCAR actually, I’m still right there, still got plenty in the tank, I’m ready to go. We’re working with RCR this year, getting our Chevrolets back up front and we race Talladega this weekend, a great place for us to win.”

Well, Rowdy’s not going anywhere soon, not at least until he gets back to winning races. Going by his timeline, he’s got a good 2-3 years of racing left in him, and that should lift the spirits of his followers, who are edging to see him back in the victory lane.
