Ever since Jordan Chiles returned to collegiate gymnastics, the Olympian has been in the headlines, be it the Debut 10 or the Player of the Week award. Now that the gold medalist has achieved yet another feat, Mumma Chiles has some words for both Jordan and A’Ja Wilson.

Gina Chiles was head over heels as her daughter, Jordan Chiles was announced as TIME’s 2025 Women of the Year alongside A’Ja Wilson. Gina took to Twitter, showering her love for her daughter and thanking God. She said, “My babygirl is TIME Women of the year…Like on the cover y’all . When God lines it all out- He shows out!! I mean…this is INCREDIBLE!!”

Gina showed the same love for A’ja as well. She continued, “A’ja & Jordan are the same person…lol…just different altitudes.” That was some humor over heights!!! The WNBA MVP was also announced as the TIME’s 2025 Women of the Year. A’ja had a tremendous year, setting up new records for points and rebounds in the WNBA and also being the MVP in USA’s Paris campaign where they won the gold.

With her new A’One sneaker for Nike, she is now the first Black WNBA player to have a signature shoe since 2010. And let’s not forget her achievement as a best-selling author for her book Dear Black Girls. Other than Jordan and A’ja, Nicole Kidman, Olivia Munn, Gisèle Pelicot, and 8 others are on the TIME’s Women of the Year list.

Love for A’ja Wilson from Jordan Chiles is not new for the basketball player. Ever since she met Jordan, the two seem to have hit it off and have gotten along great.

Jordan deserved the Bronze: A’ja Wilson

“We were vibing out,” This is what Jordan Chiles had to say about her time with A’ja Wilson. Ever since the Nike event in the run-up to the Paris Olympics, the two have gotten along very well. Jordan, who was grown in a family that loved basketball, found great companionship in the WNBA Star. The two of them reunited for TIME’s annual Women of the Year issue and the conversation that followed has been interesting—one such was over Chile’s Paris Bronze.

The interviewer asked the basketball legend if Jordan Chiles deserved the bronze in Paris to which A’ja was quick to answer; she straight raised questions over the question itself, telling the interviewer to stop messing with her; she said, “Stop playing me. What kind of question is that? Yes. It’s a no-brainer. And I was pissed. Honestly, I prayed for you(Jordan).”

Cleary, the basketball Olympic champion, was pissed as her fellow American didn’t get the medal and she made sure Jordan didn’t feel low over it. She praised her friend for her hard work and guaranteed that God has something for her, stating, “I know those moments are hard—and here I go, about to cry—you worked your a** off to get to that. I really prayed, not only because you’re my friend, but because I see you. I understand you, and it may look different because we’re in different sports, but you’re fully equipped, and God’s gonna always have you no matter what. “

Of course, no mother would be able to contain her excitement when her daughter wins TIME’s 2025 Women of the Year…what could be better? Maybe that one friend of the daughter, who supports her, also being on the list just adds that much to the achievement. This feat by Jordan and A’ja is not only great news for Gina but for the black community as well; this will inspire more and more girls to come out and play with passion. What do you think?
