Joe Rogan Calls Out Lack of ‘Interest’ in Elon Musk’s Heroic Move for NASA Astronauts Who Were Stuck in Space for 9 Months

4 min read

Joe Rogan is outraged. A regular feat to no one’s surprise. But why and at whom? Unsurprisingly, the targets happen to be the Democrats and the mainstream media because, according to Rogan, they didn’t give Elon Musk the due credit for rescuing two NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore who were ‘stuck’ in the International Space Station for over nine months (286 days to be exact).

You didn’t hear a peep about Elon rescuing those people that should have been on all of the news stories all day long. We should have had a live stream of it, it should have been a huge national event. We’re finally going to rescue the astronauts who are trapped in the space station for eight months. And this super genius, this Elon Musk character is the guy who figured out how. Had to go get them, his company went and rescued them ‘cuz we can’t do it anymore. We couldn’t rescue them,” Rogan told right-wing podcasters Konstantin Kisin and Francis Foster on episode #2297 of the JRE podcast.

“We had to rely on his company and you don’t hear s–t about it… Why weren’t they live-streaming the whole thing? That’s a huge moment, you’re recovering these poor people. Like this is a giant special interest story that would grab so many headlines and it would have so much ratings ‘cuz everybody wants to see it,” a bug-eyed and animated Rogan added.

For the unversed, Williams and Wilmore went to the International Space Station last June on a Boeing Starliner spaceship. The duo was expected to stay there for just over a week, but after the Starliner spacecraft malfunctioned, they were stuck there for nine months since NASA decided to let them stay while planning rescue missions.

After Donald Trump took office, Elon Musk offered to get the astronauts back, and the tech billionaire came through. His company, SpaceX, launched a spacecraft, Dragon, to get them back earlier this month, and the duo finally splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico, off the coast of Florida on March 18.

And Rogan feels that the mainstream media and the Democrats did not give it the kind of attention, nor appreciate Elon Musk the way they should have done it. But then again, there is a reason that Musk’s company ‘rescuing’ these astronauts didn’t get the type of attention Rogan thinks it deserved.

Joe Rogan defends Elon Musk against criticism over DOGE

To be fair, Elon Musk is probably the second-most hated man by Democrats behind only Donald Trump at the moment because of his vociferous support for the President. Musk’s controversial actions through the Department of Governmental Efficiency (DOGE) are extremely unpopular among Democrats, so it is understandable they weren’t cheering on the South Africa native. But then again, Rogan thinks that the Democrats are just making a mountain out of a mole hill with their concerns around DOGE.

Joe Rogan is nothing if not loyal. So it is not surprising that he defended Elon Musk’s radical moves to cut the federal government with DOGE. The department, of course, has made controversial moves like gutting the US Agency for International Development (USAID), and restructuring the Social Security Administration, which reportedly destabilized the systems and led to delays in claimants receiving their checks.

“He has $400 billion, he’s not going to steal your money. That’s not what he’s doing. He’s a super genius that’s been f—ed with. And when you’ve been f—ed with by these nitwits that hide behind three-letter agencies, and you’re dealing with one of the smartest people alive, you f—ed up,” Rogan said on his podcast last month. What do you think about Joe Rogan’s take on Elon Musk not getting enough credit for ‘rescuing’ the NASA astronauts?
