Despite having tremendous experience and leading the Browns to a playoff berth in the past, veteran Joe Flacco stands at a crossroads. He wants to play, and he doesn’t want to be tagged as a mentor for the rookies who have generated the most headlines this offseason. But the QB wheel keeps spinning in Cleveland as always, and with the latest injuries, it brings a fresh face to the front lines. With Tyler Huntley signed as the 6th QB for Cleveland, the competition intensifies, but Flacco isn’t quite happy with the way things have progressed so far.
As per a report by The Athletic, Joe Flacco wants more reps. As he noted in an interview recently, “I think there’s probably some truth to the fact that maybe I don’t need as many reps. But I do need reps. And not only do I need reps, I want reps. I like reps. I want to get better. And also, I want to be able to show guys, ‘hey, I can still do it.’” But the way HC Kevin Stefanski has been cooking this offseason, things haven’t turned out the way Flacco would’ve wanted.
Stay tuned, this story is developing…
