Jets GM Bids Farewell With Emotional Message as Aaron Rodgers Clears Retirement Stance Amid Uncertain Future

2 min read

The Jets flight is going an overhaul. After parting ways with their interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich and QB Aaron Rodgers, it’s time to wave goodbye to their interim GM Phil Savage. He became the interim GM when Joe Douglas was fired on November 19, 2024. With a ton of experience working with different NFL teams, his plans didn’t work out as they were eliminated from the playoffs with a 5-12 win-loss record.

The GM also made everyone emotional with his heartwarming message. While leaving the franchise, he shared a few photos with the caption, “Today closes the loop of my time as Interim GM ⁦ @nyjets. ⁩I was ⁦ @AuburnFootball ⁩ when the call came in on Nov 19th. So took my car to ATL airport where it had been ever since! 16 years between GM stints is unusual, proud of staying true to the game. #grateful

While all this talk going on about the Jets future, Aaron Rodgers is also in the eye of the storm. He acknowledged that 2024 season ender could be his last game. But since the new HC Aaron Glenn announced QB’s departure, he is quiet. There are rumors that he could end at the NY Giants. Will that happen?

Stay tuned. This story is developing.
