The Cowboys‘ QB room right now? Let’s just say it’s hanging by a thread thinner than Jerry Jones’ patience. Dak’s banged up, Cooper Rush packed his bags for Baltimore, and Trey Lance? Well, let’s just say he’s still a mystery wrapped in a riddle. So, what’s the plan, Jerry? Because Cowboys fans aren’t exactly loving this “hope for the best” strategy at the most important position on the field.
Turns out, Jerry did get a plan for the most important position on the field. On Thursday, the New England Patriots traded their QB, Joe Milton III, and a seventh-round pick to the Cowboys in exchange for a fifth-round pick. Yeah, you read that right. The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported the news on her official ‘X’ handle, writing, “The Patriots are trading QB Joe Milton III and a seventh-round pick to Dallas in exchange for a fifth rounder, per source.”
