Jalen Ramsey’s Message Turns Heads After Jerry Jones Rival Sean McVay’s Rams

4 min read

It’s starting to feel like Jalen Ramsey‘s time with the Miami Dolphins is just about over. The Dolphins and Ramsey already agreed to part ways, but they haven’t pulled the trigger yet. The cornerback is still there on their depth chart. But why? Money, plain and simple. If they trade him before June 1, they take a $25 million hit. But if they wait? That number drops way down, and they save nearly $10 million in cap space. So yeah, it makes sense they’re holding off. And Ramsey seems to know it, too. That’s the reason this week, he posted “5…” on X, clearly hinting at a countdown. But a new update from the 30-year-old has clearly revealed his stance on the trade talks.

On Wednesday, Jalen Ramsey shared a cryptic post on his official X account. He said, “For the record btw, i’ve loved every city i’ve played in & the fans who supported! The anger is very misplaced at times, but sometimes valid too (laughing emoji), but real ones know the intentions always solid! ….a new chapter awaits.” Hmm…..it seems it’s his final goodbye message for the fans in Miami, as the cornerback counts down his exit from the franchise.

Despite showing love for the city, it’s clear that Jalen Ramsey wants to quit the team, finally, and go somewhere else. His journey in the league has been anything but quiet. He started strong with the Jaguars, then moved to the Rams and made noise there, too. Now, unless he circles back to one of those teams, he’s gearing up to suit up for a fourth team in just a decade. That’s a lot of movement for a player once seen as untouchable. And maybe that’s exactly why Ramsey felt the need to speak up. His post wasn’t just about a date; it felt personal, like he’s trying to remind people who he really is, despite all the chatter.

So, after recording 39 solo tackles and two interceptions last year, Jalen Ramsey wants to be out of Miami. On the other hand, besides Ramsey, coach Mike McDaniel is also looking ahead to the team’s future. After the CB skipped OTA on Wednesday, the HC said that he is “very excited to coach a team,” and is “just worried about the players on the field today.” Besides him, the team’s cornerback Kader Kohou also dodged the question of Ramsey’s future, despite praising the veteran. He quipped, “Jalen’s my dog, but we’re kind of focused on the guys in the room right now. We don’t talk about Jalen, we let the upstairs handle that situation.

It seems that Jalen Ramsey’s teammates have already headed in a new direction, parting ways with the CB unofficially. Nevertheless, the former Florida State player is looking for other options, including those reportedly being offered by Jerry Jones and Sean McVay.

Jalen Ramsey is in demand

Jerry Jones’ Cowboys and Sean McVay’s Rams are both in line to trade for Jalen Ramsey. As per reports, the Rams might just be circling back to that familiar face whom they once trusted deeply. Ramsey was the anchor of their Super Bowl-winning defense, and now that he is on the market again, head coach Sean McVay hasn’t shut the door. In fact, he’s made it clear: the interest is still there. He said, “Oh yeah. We would never close out those opportunities.”

Besides them, the Cowboys are poking around too. As per reports, they are reportedly talking with Miami, eagerly wanting Ramsey for 2025. But the thing is, the clock might be ticking. With June 1 approaching, that door could swing open fast. And Ramsey, traded to the Dolphins last year, is now in limbo again.

Miami wants to move on, and Ramsey’s hefty contract, over $20 million guaranteed this season, makes things tricky. If the money lines up, and if things shift after June 1 like many expect, the trade could happen very quickly. And if not? The teams are cool with their respective groups at present. But sooner or later this off-season, Jalen Ramsey will be on the move.
