When we talk about chaos, it would be a cardinal sin not to mention the sheer, unhinged energy that heavyweight fighters bring to the world of MMA. Whether it’s Cain Velasquez or Jon Jones, their very presence speaks volumes. But when it comes to the greatest of all time—who truly holds the crown? Is it Jones? Velasquez? According to Joe Rogan, neither. As long as Fedor Emelianenko’s name is in the conversation, no one else comes close to the heavyweight GOAT.
While having a candid chit-chat with his buddies at the latest ‘JRE Fight Companion’, Brendan Schaub intrigued Joe Rogan when he claimed that Cain Velasquez stands at the pinnacle of the heavyweight division, to which Rogan intervened and ascertained that as long as Emelianenko exists, no one could deny his presence as the heavyweight GOAT. “It’s hard to say because of Fedor. If you can get juicy Fedor from Pride, I don’t know, man[talking about Velasquez defeating Emelianenko]. I don’t know if anybody beats Fedor.”
He further added, “Fedor is so accurate with his strikes—so good. Dude, Fedor walked down Cro Cop when Cro Cop was in his prime. You’ve got to remember, most of that fight was standing up, and Fedor was going blow-for-blow with Cro Cop and walking him down. He was very unusual. That Randleman KO—or the Randleman armbar—Randleman suplexes him on his head, and five seconds later, he’s got him in a kimura. It’s crazy. He was different. He beat up Nogueira, dude. Oh my God, watch that fight again.”

The Russian has a simple rule and that is to win no matter what comes at you, Mirko ‘Cro Cop’ threw brutal kicks and lethal body shots which could have taken anyone down but not ‘The Last Emperor,’ absorbing everything to his body, Emelianenko dragged the striker down and dominated him till he clinched the victory by way of unanimous decisions. In addition to that his fight with Kevin Randleman was arguably the most lethal battle for him because Randleman nearly broke him with a brutal suplex. Still, Fedor reversed instantly, locking in a kimura for a savage finish.
Riding with a career record of 40 victories and only 7 losses, Fedor Emelianenko stands at the pinnacle of the heavyweight MMA. Well, is the fighter trying to make a comeback after his last loss against Ryan Badr? Let us find out.
Days after Joe Rogan confession, Conor McGregor teases Fedor Emelianenko for BKFC
“Stay tuned, we might have an announcement with Fedor Emelianenko. Hey Fedor, we’re waiting,” said Conor McGregor as he teased Fedor Emelianenko’s participation at BKFC. The former dual weight champion has been doing a phenomenal job as a promoter since he acquired a minor stake in the promotion and it appears that McGregor is going to bring in the most within his promotion and Joe Rogan is flabbergasted by it.
While having a conversation with Chase Hughes on ‘JRE #2278,’ Joe Rogan again highlighted the absolute demon of a presence the Russian carries within the ring, “There’s a guy that was one of the greatest heavyweights out of Russia. His name is Fedor Emelianenko. He fought in PRIDE which was an enormous organization in Japan in the early 2000s. And he was famous for having a completely stoic expression no matter what happened. He was the most terrifying.”
He further added, “And because he was so skillful as well. But I wonder, like, what they taught him in terms of how to keep your mind in check in the middle of chaos. Because, I mean, he’d be in these f—ing wars, and just his facial expression never changed.” Well, will the Russian fighter join BKFC? The answer is quite confusing because ‘The Last Emperor’ is 48 years old now and has been fighting for more than two decades. Except for UFC, Emelianenko has fought in every other major organization. Given that, what are your thoughts on Emelianenko to BKFC? State your opinion in the comments below.
