‘Icon’: Noah Lyles was described by that adjective in a clip released on January 18 this year. The clip caught him in several frames, in a Zen-like mode, preparing for the upcoming track battle. However, the clip was to announce Noah’s entry in the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in a celebrated way. Surely, his boisterous presence in the frames increased the gripping factor of the clip. But no one would argue about the contribution of voiceover added in the video. It was of Junelle Bromfield, Noah’s fiancée.
In the clip, Junelle explained her love as “a force unmatched” in the track. Also, she was perfect in every bit, bringing in the key part to showcase Noah Lyles’s preparation to come back in the new season. But what about her return to the track? Did she share anything on the clip or upload her comeback clip on social media? No. In fact, after August 7, 2024, Junelle Bromfield has yet to be seen in any competitive track.
In the last six months, the Jamaican Olympian has shown up in several track videos shared by Noah Lyles. In those videos, Bromfield can be seen practicing with other athletes on the track in Adidas’ training facility in Florida. Even so, after her Paris Olympics heartbreak, she is still letting go of the key contests. There was no update of such on her 27th birthday (February 8) as well.
So is she thinking about retiring from the track?
The report is developing…
