“To be in a basketball movie.” This was Caitlin Clark’s dream when she was in third grade. Just a kid, scribbling a wish on paper, not knowing she’d end up being the biggest hoops movie ever written herself. A living, breathing blockbuster. The kind packed with action, behind-the-scenes laughs that feel like bloopers from a coming-of-age classic, friendships and a love story that could rival any rom-com. And of course, the casual glam that gives red carpet energy every single time.
She might be off the court right now, healing up and sitting out, but make no mistake: Caitlin’s still playing the lead. Still serving main character energy. Still the heart of the story. We know that CC is sidelined for two weeks with a quad injury. She’ll be missing a stretch of games in Washington, Chicago, and Atlanta, plus two home games against Connecticut and Washington.
But that didn’t stop her from hopping on a plane with the Indiana Fever squad ahead of their May 29 showdown with the Mystics. The game, by the way, got moved to the 14,000-seat CFG Bank Arena because, honestly, everyone wanted a piece of the Caitlin Clark experience. While she’s won’t be suiting up, she gave fans something to talk about. Not a step-back three or a no-look dime but a ‘fit that had Swifties and WNBA stans losing it online. She showed up in a T-shirt from Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, the merch every Swiftie would kill for.
The iconic multicolored tee with Taylor’s face on it. “Reppin T. Swift, baby,” she said with the biggest grin, “Best shirt in the world.” Now, we know that Clark is a Swiftie, but she’s also living every fan’s dream. Last fall, she met Taylor Swift during a Kansas City Chiefs game and called the experience “perfect.” She even revealed earlier this month that she hit up the Eras Tour multiple times last year. Swift even sent her bags of Eras Tour merch.
“It was helpful in [that] I have good drip now,” Clark joked. “I have every sweatshirt and Taylor Swift Eras T-shirt in about every color and size. So if anybody needs any, I will let you borrow one.” But that wasn’t the only article from her fit that captured fans’ attention. She also paired it with a Prada handbag worth a cool $4.4K. Just casually boarding a team plane looking like she’s headed to Paris Fashion Week.
In no time, social media lit up with the most hilarious and funny reactions.
All love and laughs for Caitlin Clark
The internet was quick to spiral into full-on protect-CC-at-all-costs mode. One fan kicked it off with, “Can someone grab her bags we have a quad to heal!!!!!” For the first time since high school, CC’s missing regular-season action, and while fans are (adorably) stressing about her even carrying bags, if that was actually an issue, the team wouldn’t let her lift a finger. And knowing how much Caitlin loves being in the thick of it all, you can bet she’s itching to bounce back ASAP. The estimated timeline for now is two weeks.
Then came the hot takes as someone joked, “Carrying around all that is probably why she hurt her legs,” and while that’s hilarious, let’s clear the air. That’s not why she’s out. Clark had already missed Indiana’s preseason opener against the Mystics with a left quad issue. She fought through to play the regular-season opener against Chicago, but after the Liberty game, things flared up again. As Coach Stephanie White put it, “I don’t know when it happened… they were getting an MRI, and then we got the word.”
Another fan jumped in with, “Can someone plz carry her bags???” We all know that the sisterhood brewing in that Fever locker room is deeper than any franchise right now. If she needed help, her teammates would be right there, no questions asked. In fact, Kelsey Mitchell literally said, “We’re all here for her. It’s tough, but we have each other’s backs.” So don’t worry, her bags (and heart) are in safe hands.
Then there was this one, who added, “I have a fully working left quad if CC needs it.” While everyone got a good laugh, it just shows how much her fandom loves her. From speaking up when they believe the refs wronged her to hyping her up, they are all in, always. Even long before Indiana, fans lined up at 6:00 a.m. for an Iowa Cubs meet-and-greet that didn’t even start until 5 p.m. She loves them right back. Remember when she surprised a young fan in Des Moines with a heartfelt gift? That’s what makes CC different.
Then someone said what we were all thinking, “I knew CC would still travel with the team ” Literally nothing can keep Caitlin away from the game. Also, that is something her coach is encouraging, too. As Coach White explained, it’s a chance for her to grow from the sidelines too- get that coaching perspective, spot what they’ve been drilling in practice, and see it come alive on court.

Fnally, one fan summed it all up with, “Take care of your leg and don’t overwork it. The rest of the team will step up and get the dubs!” No jokes..just straight-up love. Not just CC, this fandom believes in this team. So, whether it’s cracking jokes or going as far as offering up body parts, Caitlin Clark fans are showing up like never before. All the fans really want is for Caitlin Clark to be back on the court. Hope that happens soon.
Till then, have fun watching her animated sideline reactions while her teammates including Sophie Cunningham, Sydney Colson, DeWanna Bonner and more step up.
