Indiana Fever Coach on the Hot Seat After Sheryl Swoopes Raises Eyebrows About Game Caitlin Clark Missed

The Indiana Fever has set the tone; they started the pre-season with a bang! After absolutely demolishing the Brazil side, Stephanie White looks to be in complete control of her roster. However, it didn’t start this way. Their first game against the Mystics went to overtime, and it was a close call.

There was one major factor that led to such a close game, and that was the absence of their star player, Caitlin Clark. The six-foot-tall point guard was out because of a left leg injury, erring on the safer side for the pre-season.

However, because of how close the game had gotten, WNBA legend Sheryl Swoopes brought some questions for the Indiana HC. “Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hall they’ve been in the league for a while. You’ve actually had players like Bree Hall. Why wasn’t she in that game?” She said on the Women’s Hoops Show, raising an important query for White.

Swoopes pointed out how Indiana might have underutilized its veterans, and we can see where she was coming from.

(This is a developing story…)
