‘I Can’t Play With Them’: Paige Spiranac Runs Into Serious Trouble 7 Days Before PGA Tour Participation

“I’ve never felt like I fit in. I always feel like I’m walking in the wrong direction or swimming upstream.” Paige Spiranac quoted this when sharing about her journey as a content creator apart from being a professional golfer. But if there is any professional who has garnered fame away from the golf course, too, it is undoubtedly Spiranac. The former LPGA professional has been on top of the list when it comes to golf influencers.

Even though the golf diva has limited her appearances professionally, fans are still eager to witness her competing on the course. As the fans wished, she will be part of the Creator Classic teeing off at the Philadelphia Cricket Club, just before the Truist Championship. Sharing for her participation, recently she joined the Dan on Golf Podcast and shared, “I am really excited. I think it’s going to be an amazing opportunity. It is unlike anything that I have done before, so I am a little bit nervous about that part of it.” Well, last year she was part of the inaugural Creator Classic where she finished ninth, four shots shy of the leader.

However, now with the nervousness peaking, she began preparation early on. But guess what, she isn’t totally prepared to swing with full potential. With just a week to go for the second Creator Classic of 2025, Spiranac shared her on-course trouble in her recent “9 Hole Course Vlog.” Paige Spiranac played a practice nine-hole round at the University of Denver Golf Club at Highlands Ranch.

During the video, she shared about her new clubs, stating, “So I have new irons and wedges, and I honestly really dislike them, and sometimes that happens.” She revealed the specifics on the length, which was half an inch shorter than her usual one. But the new experiment has turned out to be a failure just before her appearance on the greens. Then, after having a par score in the first few holes, she shared the reality. Spiranac said, “Confirmed. The Wedges are not good. So I’m waiting on my swag wedges, so hopefully I can get those in before the Creator Classic because these are unplayable, I can’t play with them.”

The attempt to try new clubs has definitely been a failure for the golf diva, but with the ongoing health struggles, her new clubs have added to her nervousness for the course appearance.

Paige Spiranac struggles with health ahead of the second Creator Classic

The golf diva who played her last professional in 2016 has only featured at the Creator Classic last year. Even with her most anticipated second participation in the event, the struggle list is increasing. Further in her vlog, she shared how she has been away from the course due to declining health. Paige Spiranac said, “I haven’t really been practicing that much. I have been sick for the last almost three weeks now where because of a sinus infection and other things.” However, now, even after her misdiagnosis for the infection, she has shared optimism for her participation.

She shared, “I’m not really sure what’s going on, but hopefully that gets figured out right before I have to go play.” The golf influencer, despite the struggle, ended the practice with one under par. With the same hopes of seeing her performing at the Creator Classic, the fans are vouching for her. Spiranac will join the field with other golf content creators like Sabrina Andolpho of Golf Girl Games, Erik Anders Lang of Random Golf Club, and more. But will she be able to get a better score this year and zip the critics? What are your thoughts on it? Share with us in the comments below.
