Just when the team was hoping for a strong season from their star pitcher, Cole found himself facing yet another rough patch. And it’s not the kind of news anyone in the Yankees camp wanted to hear.
After a rough outing in Thursday’s spring training, where the Yankees faced a blow against the Minnesota Twins, ace star Gerrit Cole is set to have his pitching elbow examined. Now, Cole has shared an honest take on his update; unhappy with this sudden blow, he noted, “I’m concerned.” Continuing further, Cole added that he’s “hopeful,” but “concerned.”

Gerrit Cole got hit around against the Twins, allowing six runs on five hits (two homers) in 2.2 innings. While there was nothing obvious as far as Cole’s velocity was concerned, the update has left the entire team worrying given the long list of injuries already prevalent.
