She runs on caffeine and good vibes! Who? Yes, our girl Jordan Chiles. Jordan Chiles is always on, like a light switch that never flickers. It doesn’t matter if she is walking into a podcast or in front of thousands in an area, her energy is unapproachable. She describes it the best when she once said, “I’ve been entertaining people my entire life. I’ve dedicated my life to this sport.” And that dedication is shining through as she preps for the NCAA finals. And seeing all this, her all-time support can’t help but praise her! But who’s she?
Mom Gina is Jordan Chiles’ biggest cheerleader and the ultimate backbone behind her success. As Jordan preps to lead UCLA in their chase for their first-ever Big Ten title after the conference shake-up moved them from the Pac-12, the team shared a behind-the-scenes post showing all the hard work. Well, they shared a picture on the X, where team UCLA gathered around, smiling and looking super excited.
“Jordan is energy” – Love this!! This team is special!! https://t.co/lPNX1bRRG2

They’re wearing their blue leotards. Right in the middle is that giant “BIG TEN” sign lit up, with blue, white, and gray balloons giving it that extra flair. However, Jordan Chiles was the spotlight! She was sitting on the floor, striking a cool pose, looking relaxed but ready to take over. This pic screams ‘We’re ready to crush it!’ And, as expected, Mom Gina couldn’t hold back her excitement.
Gina proudly declared, “Jordan is energy. Love this!! This team is special!!” With Jordan bringing the heat and Mom Gina hyping her up, this team is ready to take on anything! And this post hit even harder because it came right after some worried whispers about Jordan’s recent injury. Yes! Injury. But while fans and detractors were quick to spread unseemly rumors, Gina was right there.
Jordan Chiles didn’t let the chatter slow her down
Gina Chiles is that mom—the one who’s always in her daughter’s corner and doesn’t play when it comes to setting the record straight. After UCLA’s nine-match winning streak hit a bump against Utah on March 16, Gina jumped on X with her usual honesty. “Being competitive like she is—it’s nearly impossible for her to sit back and watch. Especially in the Huntsman. She wants it 100% of the time.”
Gina continues with, “This day wasn’t her day. Both she and her coaches felt good about her practices after the fall. Off days happen. Congrats to Utah” But hold up! The conversation didn’t stay on the loss for long. Nope. It quickly shifted to Jordan. Fans started buzzing. Was she hurt? Should she have even been competing? Then, late Saturday, Gina hopped back online to clear things up.
“Seeing worried comments—Rest is always good, but just for clarity—she fell off her scooter in the rain and hurt her tailbone this week. So she is feeling it at every event. Running on vault and floor passes, especially when she hit it on the dive roll. She’s ok—just hurts.” But even that didn’t quiet the peanut gallery. Fans were still side-eyeing the decision to have Jordan compete, especially after she was spotted limping and taking a breather in the tunnel.
That’s when Gina had enough. She clapped back with, “Ohhh…y’all….yeah no. Didn’t know this was circulating. The coaches are top-tier when it comes to care and concern for Jordan and her body and rest. Let’s squash this one.” She meant to say everybody calm down—the Bruins know what they’re doing. And now? Jordan Chiles is back—and UCLA knows their game-changer is ready to rock.
