The bizarre scene at TPC Scottsdale has often been the highlight of the WM Phoenix Open. The venue hosts the wildest golf community in the world and turns a mundane outing on the course into a spectacle. Emiliano Grillo had the best experience in the 2025 edition of the event after scoring his ace. The celebration that followed was unlike any as fans joined in on Grillo’s special moment by covering the entire tee box with green bottles.
Most course officials in the world would have been stressed due to the incident. But the TPC Scottsdale management was prepared considering that this is a common occurrence on the 16th hole. The atmosphere is such that everyone present at the venue enjoys themselves.
It’s loud, it’s wild, and it’s an amazing experience for everyone, including the partners of the PGA Tour Pros. One such individual recently pointed out what excites them the most about the WM Phoenix Open. Skratch shared a tweet bringing up Jessica Hadwin’s comments about the tournament. Adam Hadwin’s partner said, “The WMPO is like a toxic relationship. Shouldn’t go back, but you do,” sharing her dynamic with the PGA Tour event. The tweet also included a picture of the Hadwin family with a link that redirected us to all of Jessica’s comments.
Mrs Hadwin shared the things that she loves about the event. She said, “not having to worry about being as quiet as a mouse on every hole or god forbid even sneezing/dropping something accidentally and the golfers giving you ‘the look’”. She clearly enjoys the lively and loud atmosphere of TPC Scottsdale. Jessica further added, “watching Adam hit it close on 16 and feeling the energy in the stadium”. Like any life partner, Adam Hadwin’s wife also loved the crowd’s reaction to her husband’s amazing stroke on the 16th.
Jessica also acknowledged the beautiful view of the course and a volunteer who participates at the 16th hole every year. Overall, it seems that she thoroughly loves the WM Phoenix Open. So much so that she also hinted at texting a realtor to find a property nearby.

While fans love the scenes at the event, it seems that Jay Monahan and Co. haven’t caught on to it. Let’s see how the PGA Tour is lacking when it’s not hosting a tournament at TPC Scottsdale.
New headache for Jay Monahan & Co.
The PGA Tour has been troubled with a lot of issues lately. Fortunately for Jay Monahan, the WM Phoenix Open was a major hit among fans. But one wouldn’t credit the Commissioner’s management for the event’s success. It is a well-known fact that the TPC Scottsdale has the rowdiest crowd that celebrates everything. It’s neither quiet nor calm enough for any traditional golf tournament. And yet, the fans and golfers love being there doing their thing. That is what Jessica Hadwin believes as well. Her “not having to worry about being quiet” comment was a direct jab at Jay Monahan & Co.’s management of the PGA Tour.
Amid all the troubles they are facing, it won’t hurt to make the PGA Tour more fun. Especially when it brings in the big bucks from supporters on the course and television alike. It would prove to be a great distraction from the exhausting slow play and the never-ending merger conversations with PIF.
