Feeling Disillusioned, Paige Spiranac Announces Big Career Change: ‘Just Clicked & Made Sense’

“Now, it’s all about rage bait, clickbait, and doing outrageous things,” laments Paige Spiranac, reflecting on the evolution of the influencer industry. After facing online harassment and struggling in competitive golf, Spiranac found success in content creation. “I had lost joy in playing golf,” she admits. However, she found a new passion in content creation, and her followers skyrocketed after a strong finish at the 2016 CoBank Colorado Women’s Open. Now, with nearly a decade of experience under her belt, she is re-evaluating her approach to content creation, seeking to recapture the authenticity and organic feel that defined her early days as an influencer — and it seems the golf influencer has now found her true calling.

The queen of golf Instagram is taking her talents to the next level. With a whopping 11 million followers across platforms – including 4 million on Instagram, outshining even world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler with her 2.6 million more, and 1.6 million on TikTok – she’s already a social media powerhouse. Now, she’s adding a front office gig with the Grass League to her resume, where she’ll bring her strategic leadership skills to the table.

In an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on the league’s Instagram story, she revealed that she’s jumping into the league’s front office, bringing her A-game to boost brand development, fan engagement, and content strategy. “I’ll be focusing on brand development and growth, fan engagement, content strategy across all of the platforms, seeking out new team owners, new talent, and new partnerships,” she shared.

Paige Spiranac‘s excitement about the league is palpable. She met co-founder Jimmy Hoselton at the WM, and the synergy between her brand and the Grass League was instant magic. “There was so much synergy between my brand and their brand… it just clicked and made sense,” she gushed. After covering the first event, Spiranac was all in, convinced that the Grass League was the real deal.

The second event is just around the corner, and Spiranac can’t wait to share it with the fans. Mark your calendars for August 30th-31st at Goat Hill Park in Oceanside, California, because Spiranac promises it’ll be lit. “The first event was so much fun and the turnout was insane… So I better see you all out there!” She’s bringing her signature sass and enthusiasm to the league, and we can’t get enough!

Paige Spiranac knows exactly what Grass League needs

Spiranac is already whipping up a recipe for fan engagement, mixing strong storytelling, magnetic players, behind-the-scenes access, and a dash of humor. “When we have looked at the trends with content creators—what seems to work is that people love a great personality, but they also love to watch really good golf,” she explains. By giving players space to be themselves and making it easy for them to show up digitally, Spiranac believes Grass League can create a connection with fans that breeds loyalty. “You just need to have that connection, because once you have that connection, you will always root for them and with individual sports that’s the most important thing to having more fan engagement,” she adds. This approach has worked wonders for players like Bryson DeChambeau, whose channel has been successful in showcasing his personality and golfing prowess.

Spiranac is excited about the breakout potential of players like Austin Quick, a junior golf buddy known for his humor and high-level play despite having a “normal job. There are guys like Austin Quick who I played junior golf with and is one of the funniest guys that I know. Now he has a normal job but he’s still playing golf at a high level—and there’s just so much to him,” she says. “There are so many stories like that, and I can’t wait for the storytelling that is about to happen,” she gushes. With her vision and expertise, Grass League is poised to tell compelling stories that resonate with fans. Can Spiranac’s vision take Grass League to new heights?
