Ex-NFL QB Questions Dak Prescott’s $60M a Year Status as Cowboys Predicted to Have Another Disappointing Season

2 min read

The Cowboys are gonna kick off the 2025 season on September 5, and fans are thinking about something else. First of all, the football fans are not interested in buying those average $1743 tickets for their game, while they are still confused if Dak Prescott is gonna pull up a big season or not. The highest-paid QB is under the spotlight as the season, week 1, is on the horizon, and there is no guarantee that the Cowboys will win this season or not. That’s why NFL analyst Chris Simms is taking a job at Prescott.

Chris Simms was on Kay Adams’ Up and Adams podcast. They were discussing the Cowboys and their upcoming season. Their conversation, first of all, their stats revealed a shocking fact about the 2025 playoffs possibility of the Cowboys. Chris Simms, while talking about the Cowboys and Prescott, said, “I don’t want to say he’s holding them back, but he is the highest-paid player in football. And I would say he’s not near the top five quarterbacks in football.” He did not stop there.

Simms also added, “Is he even a top 10 quarterback? I don’t know about that either. Can Dak Prescott and that offense in the passing game hold it down for them? I think those are things that I look at.” Prescott has signed a $60 million per year deal for four years with the Cowboys, which is the highest in league history.

While talking about Dak Prescott, Kay Adams revealed, “Seven and a half wins is their projected total. I think it’s low.” She predicted that the Cowboys have low chances of being in the postseason this year, too. She also added, “Not projected to make the playoffs at plus 180.”

Stay tuned, this is a developing story!
