Everyone Is Concerned for Jordan Chiles as Mother Confirms Injury Scare Ahead of Big 10 Gymnastics Meet

“Some uncharacterstic mistakes from Jordan Chiles on floor, stumbling out her dive roll (probably the easiest skill in her routine) and then landing short on her final tumbling pass.” Aaron Doyle, the assistant sports editor for Daily Bruin posted on X, right after Jordan’s floor exercise on Saturday night’s match. It was a match between the gymnastics powerhouses, UCLA and Utah. But Jordan wasn’t able to give her 100% in the match. She stumbled several times and lost points because of that. Such mistakes had not been present in her moves in the past, despite facing falls on the mat. Then is the gymnast injured? This could be a major red signal for the UCLA Bruins when the program is entering the postseason. However, Jordan’s mother had something to share.

On March 15, in the late hours, Gina, Jordan’s mom, posted something on X. Her post read, “Seeing worried comments- Rest is always good but just for clarity- she fell off her scooter in the rain and hurt her tailbone this week. So she is feeling it on every event. Running on vault and floor passes and especially when she hit it on the dive roll. She’s ok- just hurts.
