Erin Andrews & Charissa Thompson Confess to Losing Calm As Angry FOX Broadcasters Lash Out at Super Bowl Crowd

The Super Bowl isn’t just a big deal for the players—it’s just as intense for the broadcasters covering it. For Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson, this year’s game felt extra special. On their Calm Down with Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson podcast, they shared their behind-the-scenes moments, from soaking in the excitement to a hilarious moment of frustration over a missed photo.

Charissa didn’t hold back when she realized her partner had failed to capture a memory she wanted to keep forever. “I yelled at Steve, ‘Did you get a shot of Erin and me on the sidelines?’ He goes, ‘No.’ I go, ‘What? God damn it!’,” she admitted, laughing. She wanted a picture of her and Erin in the moment, but Steve completely missed it. Even in the middle of the Super Bowl chaos, some things just matter more than the game.

Meanwhile, Erin had her own rush of nerves before kickoff. Despite all her experience, the pressure of the moment still hit her. “I was just waiting, waiting, and they’re doing the ‘Now the Kansas City Chiefs!’ announcement, and I’m like, ‘Holy F*ck!’,” she said. “I’ve interviewed these guys 8,000 times, but then you’re thinking of everybody watching this, and you’re just like, ‘God, don’t screw this up now’.” She also noticed she took a different approach this year. “I felt a lot more chill. I was like, ‘Patrick, this moment’.

For both Erin and Charissa, this Super Bowl wasn’t just about the job—it was about the experience. Charissa summed it up best: “It’s never ever lost on me that we get to do this job, but when we get to do it together, and I get to watch you on the world’s biggest stage and you just shine bright… I’m just always grateful for that.” Even without the perfect picture, it was a night they’ll never forget. And they, for sure, couldn’t forget the night their fave Taylor Swift had.

The Super Bowl reporters call out fans for booing Taylor Swift

Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson weren’t having it after Super Bowl fans booed Taylor Swift. On their podcast, the FOX Sports duo stood up for Swift after she got a cold reception while cheering on Travis Kelce. “I feel bad for the most famous, amazing woman in the world who f—ing gets booed at the Super Bowl,” Andrews said. “Get out of here!” Clearly, she wasn’t impressed with the hate. I mean, c’mon, who likes getting booed? right.

Thompson understood where Eagles’ fans were coming from, but still had Swift’s back. “I love the fandom. Eagles are proud fans,” she said. “They are gonna hate her on that day because you’re rooting for your team.” But she also gave props to both Swift and Travis Kelce for handling the noise like pros. “She handles everything so well. And so does Travis,” she added. No matter how much attention they get, the couple stays cool under pressure.

Andrews and Thompson weren’t the only ones speaking up. Tennis icon Serena Williams also jumped in, showing love for Swift on X. “I love you @taylorswift13 don’t listen to those booo!!” she wrote. As always, Swift kept it classy, flashing a smile and moving on. Turns out, no amount of boos can shake her vibe.
