Emotional LeBron James Breaks Silence on Anthony Davis’ Exit as Insider Leaks Bucks’ & Giannis’ Role in Stunning Trade

3 min read

After Rob Pelinka sent everyone in the NBA world in shock yesterday, there is an update from LeBron James. LeBron was with his family having dinner in New York after defeating the Knicks when he found out that his teammate Anthony Davis has been traded. The King found out just like the rest of us, from Shams Charania.

According to Dave McMenamin, Bron was processing what had just happened when he found out about AD leaving. Looks like he is done processing this news. James finally spoke out after the shocking trade that sent Davis to the Dallas Mavericks and Luka Doncic to the Lakers.

Taking to Instagram, LeBron shared a heartfelt message for Davis on his story: “Love you my dog!! Go crazy over there!” He followed it with, “Woe 4L! See you soon,” showing just how much he values their bond.

LeBron’s story also featured a sad face emoji in the center, below that, he added a prayer emoji, handshake, and salute emoji. All of this could’ve played out very differently. The lethal combo of Davis and the LeBron could’ve been together still.

The Mavs actually made an attempt to trade Doncic for Giannis Antetokounmpo with the Milwaukee Bucks as reported by Cris Davis. But, the Bucks weren’t even entertaining it. Fair enough, while Luka does have MVP potential, Giannis has already done it twice and also led them to a ring. There are maybe only 5 players in this world you wouldn’t want to trade Luka, the Greek Freak is one of them.

Anyway moving on to what’s real, how would dynamics between Doncic and LeBron play out? Both of them have been the top dogs on their team. Or will the Lakers will shock us one more time?

The Lakers are moving on from the LeBron James era

LeBron’s era in Hollywood is coming to an end. It’s going to be Luka’s turn now in the heart of Hollywood. Paul Pierce, an NBA legend, threw out a bold idea that has fans buzzing. He suggested the Lakers trade LeBron and his son Bronny to the Cleveland Cavaliers. On X (formerly Twitter), he wrote, “Trade Bron and Bronny back to Cleveland, build around Luka. It’s the only way to save the Lakers.”

However, LeBron doesn’t seem to agree with Pierce’s take. NBA Insider Chris B. Haynes reported that LeBron plans to stick with the Lakers beyond the February 6 trade deadline. Haynes tweeted, “Sources: LeBron James intends to remain a member of the Lakers past the Feb. 6 trade deadline, and the relationships behind the blockbuster Luka-AD deal.”

That said, the offseason is a different story. If the Lakers and Cavaliers underperform in the postseason, don’t be shocked if things get shaken up. After all, who could’ve predicted the insane trade that sent Luka and AD packing? Now, more fans are warming up to Pierce’s idea, which seemed crazy just a few months ago.
