Destroyed by Noah Lyles, Christian Coleman Makes a Firm Affirmation Over Controversial Track & Field Season

2 min read

This season, Christian Coleman has been to three different events so far. One of those was his individual event- the men’s 100m race in the Tom Jones Memorial in Percy Beard Track in Gainesville, Florida. After his second-place finish in Memorial Van Damme last year, it was his first 100m event. And how did he perform? Well, Christian took fourth place after finishing the race in 10.06 seconds. A disappointing performance for a former world champion?

Furthermore, his rank was lower than the 18-year-old Christian Miller, who took the runner-up place in the event. However, on the other hand, his key opponent on the track, Noah Lyles, ended last season with the men’s 100m Olympic gold. Coleman, though, couldn’t qualify for the Olympic event. So, will there be any comeback from him?

Christian Coleman had an answer when the question came to him in the press conference hosted by the Xiamen Diamond League. In response, Coleman said, “I know it’s just another level that I can tap into and get to.”
