The CU Buffs coaching staff is hitting the road hard, and Deion Sanders is leading the charge. Oaks Christian High School became the latest stop, where several staff members teamed up for face time with California’s top 2026 prospects. Among them, Deion’s main target is a 100m speed demon, putting Colorado front and center in the recruitment spotlight. The Buffs are making waves, and Deion’s eye on the prize is shining bright. Watch out—Colorado’s recruitment game is turning heads.

What about the speed demon? The well-known running back from Westlake Village is none other than Deshonne Redeaux. He is a notable member of the 2026 recruiting class, standing 5’11” and weighing 175 pounds. Numerous esteemed universities, including Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, and Brigham Young, had extended offers to Redeaux as of February 2025. However, the running back received another significant offer today, this time from Deion Sanders’ program. And pointing out that Deshonne posted on X, “Blessed to receive and offer from the university of Colorado @DeionSanders @GregBiggins @adamgorney @BrandonHuffman @ChadSimmons_ @SWiltfong_ @CoachBartolone @CUBuffsFootball.”
