Danielle Collins was last seen in action at the 2025 AO. And, let’s be honest she had a really tough time there, as she was welcomed with boos and jeers in most of her matches after she beat the local youngster Destanee Aiava in the second round. However, Collins took it on the chin. “Every person that’s bought a ticket to come out here and heckle me, it’s all going towards the Danielle Collins Fund. Bring it on. I love it,” she said. And as she returned home, Collins addressed the Aussie crowd through a social media post again, this time with a picture of her dog, Quincy, as she wrote, “This sophisticated gentlemen wanted to thank everyone that also contributed to the Quincy fund during the Australian Open. He will be having steak and lobster tonight and will also be attending the trip to the Bahamas .” Quincy has been Danielle’s constant companion, and recently, he joined his friends to watch the American in action on the court!
Collins promised herself a “five-star Bahamas vacation” during the AO, and she did fulfill that. Just a few weeks ago, the World No. 14 tennis player shared a few glimpses of her luxury stay at Coral Sands Inn & Cottages on Harbour Island. In one of those clips, she could be seen holding a drink in her hand and taking a walk among the palm trees. Shortly after that vacation in the Carribean beaches, Collins was seen spending some quality time with her pet dog Quincy, again.
She shared pictures of her furry friend, who sat beside a roll of wallpaper, posing for the camera. Collins posted it on her IG story, captioning it, “This handsome man helping me make wallpaper decisions.” Then, in the second story, she shared a close-up picture of Quincy with the caption, “This face.”
After having a disappointing start to her 2025 season, Collins now eyes a strong comeback. Danielle Collins will next be seen in action at the Indian Wells Masters. And before that, she had an intense training session under the watchful eyes of her paw-friends. Collins shared a glimpse of that moment on her IG stories with the caption, “My favorite types of spectators .“
How many dogs does Collins have though? Well, the Amerian has four dogs as of now: Quincy, Scout, Lola (Apple Pie), and Harper. “They are so fun to be around. When I travel, we have to be away from each other for so long. My dog is Quincy and is a mix,” said Collins. What makes Quincy so special among all of her dogs?
When Danielle Collins’ paw-friend, Quincy, stole the limelight in Miami and Charleston
Danielle Collins has an unending love for her pets. She gave her fans a glimpse of her close bond with Quincy through a social media post, which was captioned, “My baby son.” Talking about Quincy, Collins once said, “Quincy is the classic Velcro dog: if she sees me a meter away, she can’t stand it and comes back close to me. He is adorable. He is a sophisticated gentleman; I call him Mr. Q. He is a little spoiled, but with a great personality.” She further revealed that she loves to cook “fabulous meals” for Mr. Q.
Collins has often highlighted the impact of Quincy in her life. During the 2024 Italian Open, after her win against Victoria Azarenka in the QF, she shared a picture of Quincy on her IG stories and said, “Just out here grinding so I can afford my dog’s boujee lifestyle.” Last year, she took Quincy to multiple tournaments as well, including the Miami and the Charleston Open. And guess what? Collins won the titles at both these tournaments. Is Quincy a lucky charm?
During a conversation on the Advantage Connors podcast, the 31-year-old said, “He (Quincy) kind of stole the show on camera.” Talking about her dog’s impact on her Miami Open run, Collins was also heard saying, “Yeah, I have never made a final of a tournament having my dog here. That has had a positive impact, for sure. I’m learning that my weeks are better with Mr. Q. He’s my son. Having my son here means a lot. It’s also different.” Collins hailed Quincky as the “Miami Open MVP” and added, “I don’t know what I would do without you. I love you, sir!“
When she reached the final of the Charleston Open last year, Collins signed the camera with, “Hi Quincy!” Later, when she won the title, she brought Mr. Q to the courts, and he stole all the spotlight as well! Danielle Collins’ unique camaraderie with her paw-friends is indeed adorable. Don’t you think?
