Dana White Plans Another Reward for Jean Silva after a $50K Bonus for Destroying Controversial UFC 314 Star

Dana White has a lot on his plate with so many businesses, and now the new PowerSlap and boxing promotions. But is that all for the bossman? Not at all. Being a top leader is not easy all the time, especially with all the bizarre requests that fighters and even fans might have for him. Well, he has faced situations where people asked hilarious things of him, and his answers came as a surprise and shock every time. Remember, he got a request from an MMA fan in the crowd at the UFC 308 presser? Nabotov Dorobshokh, an undefeated fighter from Tajikistan, asked him for a UFC contract and was ready to fight at UFC 308. What did the bossman do? Give him a fair and square opportunity, and he fought Matheus Camilo but lost the fight.

Now, after UFC 314, White found himself in another predicament when Jean Silva had a bizarre request after winning against Bryce Mitchell. Silva achieved a stunning submission victory over a controversial featherweight on Saturday night. He choked the American unconscious before celebrating with his classic barking noise. Lord’ received a $50,000 bonus as well, but he wanted more. The Fighting Nerds star wanted Dana White to be the best man at his wedding. Yes, you read that right.

During the post-fight presser, the UFC bossman was left stunned when the reporter said, “Jean Silva was back here and he asked me to ask you this. His goal is to get married to his partner in a church. And he offered to make you the best man at his wedding if you’d pay for the wedding singer.” White was silent for a whole minute with a bewildered expression that made the reporters burst out laughing. Then he regained his composure albeit with difficulty while saying, “woah wait a minute so he wants to marry his partner in a church. I am the best man if I pay for it.” The reporter immediately corrected him, saying that Silva wanted him to pay for the wedding singer only and not for the whole wedding. White replied, “I am gonna need more information on this, but I am probably in.”

Silva has secured a blockbuster win via submission in Round 2 and stands at 16–2–0 in MMA. Now he has all the time to heal, andLord’ is ready to get married to Carolina de Castro and book the wedding they have always dreamed of. That would include reserving an expensive and popular Brazilian singer. According to his account, after the fight, he wants to book famous singer Belo for his wedding, but the rate is higher than his budget. “We should be married already, but we want Belo to sing at the wedding ceremony,” he explained. This is why he asked the UFC CEO for help and, in return, he can be the best man.

Silva was so obsessed with this dream that he was ready to win by hook or by crook against his controversial opponent, Bryce Mitchell.

Jean Silva left Bryce Mitchell unconscious

Silva might be dubbed as ‘crazy’ for his classic dog barking or trying to punch a fan when the fan requested it, but when he fights, he is focused like an eagle. The Brazilian broke ‘Thug Nasty’ down and lengthened his suffering by almost making him unconscious.

He also addressed his rivalry with Mitchell after the fight and said that he was hurt when his opponent refused to touch gloves at the beginning of the first and second rounds. Silva, explaining the same in the post-fight presser, claimed that “He [Mitchell] needs help, and continued with his iconic barking celebration.

Silva might have barked inside the Octagon after winning, but he was pretty emotional during the post-fight interviews and cried while talking about his win. “The only way I could find a way to thank people was to cry,” he said via a translator during his backstage interview with ESPN MMA. What do you think about Silva’s request to Dana White after winning at UFC 314?
