Damian Lillard Announces Unexpected Portland Return After Giannis Antetokounmpo Triggers Off-Season Chaos for 29 NBA Teams

2 min read

Damian Lillard has a long recovery period ahead of him. He was confirmed to be out for the forseeable future due to a torn Achilles tendon in the left calf. And that was just two weeks ago. That and multiple other factors brought his long-term future at the Bucks into question. But for now, it’s onto a promising off-season, which includes a trip back to Portland for the continuation of his basketball camp.

“My youth camp is coming back to Portland in July. Always one of the highlights of my summer!” wrote Lillard on X. The camp is be live from July 22nd-25th, 9am-3pm everyday at the YMCA. For just $365, you can see yourself becoming the next world beater and Hall of Famer – just like Notre Dame. Timeless as he is.

Milwaukee’s up and down season came to a close after a third straight first round KO, and for the second straight KO from the hands of the Pacers. To stop this unsettling pattern, they’re reported to be one of the busiest outfits heading into the off-season. And of course- Damian Lillard’s name popped right in. It hasn’t been the greatest of seasons for him. Old age and an array of injuries has caused the Bucks to look to the outside for replacements. Will it be a return to the Blazers? His tweet confirmed the return to Portland, just not as a Blazer.
