The Dallas Wings have been feeling the brunt of Paige Bueckers’ absence, especially after the last match. In a latest turn of events, ESPN just announced on social media regarding Bueckers’ injury update.
The Instagram account shared an image of Bueckers with a caption that read, “Paige Bueckers will miss Friday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Sparks due to a concussion. The Wings previously said she would sit out at least two games while not providing any specifics on how Bueckers sustained the injury.” The news comes 9 hours and 30 minutes before the Wings face the Sparks at College Park Center on Sunday.
Forward athlete Myisha Hines-Allen shared her two cents on the importance of stepping up in the post-game interview and said, “It’s important for everyone to step up, especially during this time right now. We’re missing two of our point guards so we’re kind of leaning on, well…we are not ‘kind of’, we ‘are’ leaning on Arike and Nai to lead us.”
