‘Crying My Heart Out’: Deion Sanders Jr. Gets Raw About Life Struggles Days After Lil Wayne’s Gut-Wrenching Confession

I want to apologize to the opposition. The way we stormed the field, I didn’t get the opportunity to shake the head coach’s hand… That’s not professional, and I wanted to acknowledge him properly.” This was Deion Sanders apologizing after the Baylor Bears’ Big 12 opener game ended in a thrilling win in overtime for the Buffs. Chaos ensued as Colorado supporters stormed the field. But we all know that, right? What we don’t know is about somebody who lurked on the sidelines the whole time and captured that electric atmosphere and the moment that was etched in history. He did so the whole season, as his exploits became household talk. But who is this man? Well, he might still be lurking in the shadows without any prominent fame.

Yes, we are talking about Coach Prime’s eldest son, Deion Sanders Jr., who has nothing to do with playing football or even being on the backroom staff, but was one of the pivotal guys who put the Colorado Buffaloes on the map. Sanders Jr., with his media company ‘Well-Off-Media,’ captured those moments that fans do not usually get to see in a regular game. The man provided everything from locker room gossip to Coach Prime’s motivational talks to insider reactions. And gradually? His exploits became a sensation.

But even before all of this happened, Sanders Jr. had to go through one of the worst phases of his life, as he talks about it in the’ Reach The People Media’ episode he just posted on his X account. I would like, at 2 or 3 am, walk around in downtown Dallas, and I’m just crying my heart out, just yelling at the top of my lungs, like, God, what’s going on? I’m more talented than everybody doing different things. It’s like, bro, I’m actually really, really good at this, but it’s like, what the f—, why am I not winning, bro?”

The doubts might have been there in Bucky’s mind, but we all know when he took his talent and used it for the Buffs, it didn’t blow; it exploded. The exploits by the guy have reportedly increased Colorado’s social media presence by almost 500%. Moreover, Deion Jr.’s videos also affected recruitment, as they saw almost a 258% increase since his arrival. The eldest Sanders even mentioned that most of the kids always mention the videos he posts on social media. But wait, there’s more.

Since Deion Jr.’s arrival and his coverage of the program, the program’s viewership also has increased as Colorado enjoyed some of its golden times last season. Just last year, the viewership also increased to an average of 7 million views per game in the regular season. Moreover, games like Nebraska and Oregon pulled even more viewers, as those games had an average of 9 million views. All of this won’t be possible without extensive media coverage of Deion Jr. and his incredible resilience to bounce back.

Lil Wayne shares a heartfelt moment as Deion Jr becomes emotional

Deion Jr. is, in a sense, an outside head coach of the program, doing almost everything single-handedly. His relationship with fans is also quite pleasant, as we saw him handing over selfies quite candidly before that Arizona game last year. But even after all of these heroics and exploits, Deion Jr. is has been more or less in the shadows, always talked about behind his brothers Shilo and Shedeur. But the famous rapper Lil Wayne gave credit where it was due.

Noticing how Bucky just subtracted his pride, subtracted his ego, and became what he needed to become for his brother and for you guys. That right there stood out to me so much. I even tell him to this day.” Deion Sanders reposted Lil Wayne’s video and thanked him in a heartfelt fashion. “Damn… This Means A Lot!”

The story of Deion Jr. may not be too well known to people, but it is one that is worth knowing and celebrating. The selflessness with which the eldest sibling has done all these things is quite remarkable and commendable. Colorado fans should surely hope now that Deion Jr. stays put at Colorado and expands his media to other programs too, with Colorado being the place where most action happens. What do you think?
