Celtics Reporter Drops Major Jrue Holiday Update as Coach Joe Mazzulla Clears Stance on New Roster Addition

Though sitting 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference, the season hasn’t exactly gone according to the Celtics’ plan. With inconsistencies haunting them at every turn, the only bright spot for head coach Joe Mazzulla seemed to be their defense. And standing strong in that role was the veteran Jrue Holiday. But when Holiday was sidelined with an injury, things started looking a little dicey for both the team and its fans. However, there’s a silver lining as recent updates on the guard could bring some much-needed hope to the Celtics’ camp.

Insider Bobby Manning revealed that both Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis were back on the practice floor. As for Holiday, he hinted there’s a real chance we’ll see him back in action for the next game against the Trail Blazers. Isn’t that good news?

Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis went through practice today and there’s a chance Holiday returns for #Celtics #Blazers tomorrow.

The 34-year-old had been sidelined for the last two games because of a right-hand mallet finger injury, which caused the tip of his finger to droop. During Holiday’s absence, Sam Hauser and Payton Pritchard shared responsibilities in the backcourt. However, if he returns on Wednesday, they might have to step back to the bench.

This is a developing story…
