Carmelo Anthony’s career recently had another chapter after reports confirmed his deal with NBC. The 19-year veteran will suit up as an analyst as he continues to write his history. Off the court, too, Melo has success with different ventures in different industries. From his fashion brand to production company, even launching his wine label, the Knicks legend seems to have covered all his bases. But going into the potential HOF year, he wants more!
“For nearly two decades, I gave everything I had to the game of basketball, competing against the best in the world. Now, I’m channeling that same drive into my journey off the court—as an investor, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.” Carmelo Anthony joined the social networking site LinkedIn, to establish more connections to expand his $160 million net worth.
“Excited to be here on LinkedIn to connect with leaders who share the same passion for making a difference. Let’s keep pushing the game forward—on and off the court.” The networking site claims to have “1 billion members in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. Create economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce.” The mission of the social media site and Melo seem to be the same: to connect with the world’s professionals for better productivity and to strive to be more successful.

Previously, the NCAA champion spoke about believing in the power of communication. “Don’t be afraid to communicate your idea. Talk about your vision, people you need to hear it. The more you talk about it, the more people will listen.” That’s why he has been successful with his multiple off-court ventures. Did you know the 10x All-Star recently ventured into another industry?
Carmelo Anthony is now part of a $59.36 billion industry
The Syracuse legend already took the world by storm by launching his wine. But even there, he is not satisfied and has more plans to expand that category. Apart from his wine brand, VII(N) The Seventh Estate, Melo preciously spoke about his interest in the cigar industry. His indulgence for cigar and wine is of the same level, that’s why he was eager to jump in the business.
Last month, Carmelo Anthony added a post with the caption “VERSA”, where he was smoking cigars. Currently, as per Mordor Intelligence, this industry has an estimated value of $59.36 billion in 2025. Five years down the line, the industry growth could be $97.48 billion. Melo’s association is with King Makers Cigar, who also launched Kelsey Plum’s cigar.
On the website, the product is currently available only for pre-sale. The regular sale of products will begin on the 31st of March. Going into the potential HOF year, Anthony wants to go all in with his current products and expand more, just like he hinted at in his LinkedIn post.
