Picture this: Jake Paul, one of the wildest, loudmouth content creators turned boxer, finally saying, “I do.” Who saw that coming? It is bewildering to think that the king of chaos is now picking out rings. Nonetheless, trading late-night shenanigans for something deeper is maturity at its finest, with the boxing world cheering him on with open arms.
Canelo Alvarez, four years deep in marriage with his long-time partner Fernanda Gomez, gets it. He has danced the matrimonial rounds and knows how to bob and weave through the challenges. As the Mexican legend knows a thing or two about the journey Jake Paul is embarking on, he offered Paul some advice, setting their recent beef aside.
Canelo Alvarez’s golden words
Canelo, known as ‘Cinnamon,’ recently sat down with TMZ Sports to discuss his next moves. As the interview wrapped up, the interviewer teased the Mexican superstar, asking, “Have you bought your good friend Jake Paul an engagement present yet?” Initially, Canelo blinked, caught off guard, as he was unaware of it. “I don’t have social media on my phone. So, I don’t know what you are talking about,” he revealed.
The interviewer filled him in on Jake Paul’s engagement news, nudging the married boxing star for some veteran advice. With a genuine smile on his face, Canelo wished Jake Paul the best for his new adventure. Setting aside the recent tension, Alvarez said, “All the best for him and all the best for his girlfriend. Patience and good love in relationship,” sharing his advice to The Problem Child.
The Guadalajara native also addressed the possibility of facing Jake Paul in the ring. “I never say no, because you never know what happens next,” he said, not dismissing the idea of the bout completely. “But as an official fighter, no, I don’t think so,” he added.
For Jake Paul, that must feel like a small win. However, facing Canelo must be the last thing on his mind right now. With engagement, and the new reality TV show, things are quite hectic for Paul.
A hard adjustment for Jake Paul
In a recent conversation with TMZ Sports, the Paul brothers opened up about how their new reality show has flipped their world upside down. After years of churning out content, they’re used to controlling the narrative—but not this time. The cameras don’t stop rolling, even when life gets messy.
Jake Paul put it simply, “I think the biggest thing is, like, in the vlogs, you kind of stop filming when it’s the moments that get serious in our serious life. With reality TV, those are the moments where you keep filming and then you put it out there.”
The series “Paul Brothers,” will also feature Logan Paul welcoming his first child and younger Paul’s marriage. So, getting their partners on board was quite tough, the brothers admitted. Still, they are thrilled with the final product, promising “all of the madness,” to be out for everyone to see.
Jake Paul’s life has indeed taken a wild, fast turn that is hard to fathom. However, given that it is the life that Paul always desired, he won’t be afraid to take on the challenge. And hopefully, he also secures that Canelo Alvarez fight in the future.
