Calls Mount Against Awful NCAA Blunder as John Calipari Overcomes 10-Year Drought vs Rick Pitino

2 min read

John Calipari, you genius! Arkansas might be one of the biggest underdogs in the Sweet Sixteen, as they fly past Rick Pitino and his Red Storm. However, it wasn’t an entirely clean contest by both sides. Both teams played high-pressure defense which inevitably led to a large number of fouls being committed early.

There was even an altercation on the sidelines between the two coaches. Rick Pitino told off Calipari for careless fouling from his players. However, it wasn’t just on the Arkansas head coach. St. John’s were only four fouls short of the Razorbacks, and had the only foul out of the game–Kadary Richmond. It was a real slugfest in the Amica Mutual Pavilion!

Fans and analysts alike have drawn attention to the poor officiating in the second-round matchup. “College officiating is just completely broken.” An analyst for 247sports.com posted on X, while national broadcaster John Fanta agreed. “Let’s allow the players on both teams to decide this game.”

College officiating is just completely broken.
