Brian Daboll Gives Away Giants’ Draft Plans Publicly With Major Move as Travis Hunter Impresses $4.9B NFL Team

Well, the New York Giants probably know that at No.3, the chances of them getting Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders are pretty slim. So, with the NFL draft breathing down on our shoulders. The Giants are possibly changing their approach from quarterback to a defensive powerhouse. Someone who could have easily gone No.1 if not for the desperately QB-needy Tennessee Titans.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Monday morning that Penn State star edge rusher Abdul Carter had breakfast on Sunday with Giants head coach Brian Daboll. However, their meeting at State College, Pa, appears to be just an appetizer for a bigger feast. Carter is also expected to visit the Big Blue’s facilities on Thursday so that the Giants can have a closer look at him.

Considering the Giants have already signed Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, the QB isn’t a pressing issue. Yeah, they could have still added a young signal-caller. However, the chances of Ward or Sanders falling on their laps remain tough. The Titans and the Browns are both desperately searching for QBs. So, you can’t blame the Giants for possibly ending their pursuit of a QB and instead turning their eyes on this year’s No.1 defensive prospect.

21-year-old Carter is coming off a sensational season with the Nittany Lions, which saw him record 12 sacks and NCAA leading 24 TFLs. Those numbers even earned him the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and an All-American honor.

While the Giants may have found out whom they want from this year’s draft, the Titans are still in two minds. The latest reports suggest the No.1 overall holders could pick Travis Hunter, if not Cam Ward.

Stay tuned for more information.
