The Blue Jays are back at it again—because, apparently, indecision is a sport too. After months of hesitation and negotiations that went nowhere, Toronto seems to have had a sudden epiphany: maybe Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is worth the price he’s been asking for all along. Now, with contract talks heating up, the Jays might finally put their money where their mouth is. As the season draws near, the Blur Jays are finally thinking of doing what they should have done before.
Hector Gomez reported that Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is finally going to be given the contract he has been asking for. The offer will be in the range of $500-$600 million with 14–15 years on the sheet. While Guerrero Jr. was busy saying that the numbers he proposed to the Blue Jays were not close to the Soto deal, it is looking very different now. If this deal goes through, the Blue Jays will have finally figured out what the rest of the league already knew—superstars don’t come cheap.

After all, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. held his ground, and now Toronto is ready to cough up the cash. The only question left is whether they’ll call it an investment or a very expensive realization.
This is a developing story…
