Remember the worry we all felt when John Daly shared that picture of himself in the hospital bed? He needed emergency surgery on his hand, and we couldn’t help but wait for an update from the 58-year-old golfer. Then, he made the promise that he would “be back playing in no time.” And we have held onto that promise since then. And, according to the latest news, it is finally happening! Daly will be seen teeing off at this week’s 2025 Hoag Classic in Newport Beach! Having battled bladder cancer, what else does he do? He takes a trip down memory lane!
John Daly looks back at his 1992 Tour trading card and cannot help but be shocked that it’s been more than 30 years since then! But he is not yet done. “Thanks for reminding me,” he replies when he is reminded of the time and then starts cackling. “I didn’t think I’d be out here for three decades, I’ve only been dead 11 times. I’m like Lazarus. I keep coming back from the dead.” Seems like these jokes and John Daly have an age-old relationship! Looking at his picture, he exclaims, “Wow! That’s a handsome little fella.”
This is a developing story…
