Augusta National Women’s Amateur 2025 weather report
The weather at Augusta National has been a concern during this period. Just ask the PGA Tour players who have faced the obstacles annually in the Masters Tournament. But will the amateur women of golf also face the same fate?
According to AccuWeather, that just might be the case. Bad news for pros and fans alike, the weather in Augusta changes a lot throughout the four days of the event. On April 2, 2025, the temperature is steady at around 80°F. However, you better carry your umbrellas and raincoats with you as there is a 40% chance of precipitation. Moreover, there might be some thunderstorms as well throughout the day, as the weather forecast website shows a 24% chance of the same with 25 mph wind gusts. There will be 65% cloud cover, suggesting that the women might need to play in low natural light.
Better pack your light cotton on your way to Augusta as the temperature jumps up to 87° on the second day, along with 23 mph gusts. There is a 25% chance of rainfall with a cloud cover of 45%. The temperature rises further to 90° on day 3, but there is a very slim chance of rain. With 17 mph gusts and a 41% cloud cover, the penultimate round might get more action than the previous days.
The final round of the event on April 5, 2025, sees the temperature drop to 89°. There is barely any wind and 24 mph gusts from time to time. Rain might not bother the players, but with a 96% cloud cover, the players might get very little natural light.

Unexpected delays and disruptive stoppages
The Augusta National Women’s Amateur has faced a few disruptions due to bad weather in the past. In 2022, the second round of the tournament faced suspension due to rain. That caused the schedule for the Friday round to be pushed back, and the whole tournament was affected by that.
The 2024 edition of the event also faced some delays. Due to bad light in the early hours of the first round, the tee-off was postponed by an hour. Fortunately, that was the only disruption in the schedule for the entire tournament.
