America’s Michael Mmoh suffered an elbow injury during the Challenger Savannah event in April 2024. As a result, he was completely ruled out for the rest of the season after that. However, Mmoh recently made a comeback at the Challenger Cleveland. In Cleveland, he won two matches and now in the 2025 Dallas Open, he has already clinched three wins in his previous three matches. Speaking on this, Mmoh said, “[It was a] very, very tough nine months. Didn’t know even a month and a half ago exactly what my situation was…So to be here a month and a half later at an ATP 500 winning matches is purely amazing.” He’ll face Casper Ruud in the next match! Michael Mmoh will be entering this contest following a 6-1,3-6,6-4 win over Roberto Carballes Baena in the R32 of the 2025 Dallas Open. Mmoh defeated Tristan Boyer (USA) and Georgi Georgiev (BUL) in the qualifiers. It’ll be interesting to see if he can keep his winning run intact by stunning Ruud in the R16 or not.
