As Chaos Unfolded in $800 Million Arena, Dwyane Wade Reveals Jealousy Towards Jalen Brunson & Co.

It’s not every day that Dwyane Wade gets worked up over fans in the stands. But this time, the noise, the passion coming from one fan base in particular, had the Heat legend sit up straight. Dwyane Wade had quite a few things to share about the current playoff intensity in his podcast. And the team of the hour? None other than the New York Knicks!

Talking of the Knicks, D-Wade was like, “Yo, Knicks fans about to be so annoying, bro,” he said, laughing with his co-hosts. “You already know, bro. So annoying, bro.” However, what sounded like a jab at first quickly turned into something deeper. How exactly, though?

Simply because it wasn’t just “annoying.” The man was impressed—and maybe even a little envious. “I’m happy for Knicks fans cuz they’ve been waiting a long time, bro,” he said, softening his tone. Then he added what really hit home: “I said ‘annoying’ in a way that’s how I want my fans to be, just like that. That’s what you want.” This isn’t the first time Wade has tipped his hat to New York’s famously rowdy faithful.

Back in 2019, during his farewell tour, he was overwhelmed by the standing ovation he received at Madison Square Garden. Fans had filled the arena in Heat jerseys and chanted his name long after the final buzzer. “It was off the charts,” he had said post-game. “You expect that at home… but on the road, you don’t.” He even went on to call MSG his favorite place to play outside Miami, saying, “It’s everything — the lights, the floor — it’s just different.”

So when Wade says he wants that kind of energy from his own fan base, he means it. And this time, the Knicks are giving him flashbacks in the loudest way possible.

His co-host nodded, saying, “Let them win this one,” which set off a wave of laughter in the studio. “Oh, they about to go crazy,” Wade continued. “They going to tear down the Garden. It’s going to be enough.”

And while the energy from the Knicks crowd may be driving opponents crazy, Dwyane Wade insisted that’s exactly what makes it so special. “They’ve been waiting a long time,” he repeated. “But they are so annoying, bro.” Still, he wasn’t knocking it—he was celebrating it. “I want my fans to be just like that,he emphasized again.

It was clear that what may look like chaos to some is really just a fan base doing everything right. That is not to say things wouldn’t get out of hand sometimes.

Knicks fans turn TD Garden into mayhem after Game 2

If Dwyane Wade felt Knicks fans were loud, then Game 2 at the $800.3 million arena would serve him a dose of reality. The fans were on a whole different level in the Boston home ground. When the Knicks came from down by 20 to win a 91-90 thriller, the arena exploded! And the Knicks fans weren’t just celebrating- they were taking over. The roar of “Knicks in 4!” from the crowd overwhelmed a single usher’s desperate cry for “Security!”

The chaos continued as one viral video shows the attendant falling backward into the seats trying to control the situation. The attendant shouted, “Help, help! Get them out!” The account Knicks Memes put the now-deleted post online with the caption: “Celtics security was crashing out.” It was a mess, loud, and utterly unforgettable.

The scuffle continued outside. Knicks and Celtics fans clashed in the streets as the police stepped in. With a moment, multiple fights broke out, and several fans were detained with projectiles and melee weapons in their hand. One eyewitness said, “It was like a playoff war zone,”. The emotions were high, and the tension between the fans was about to explode.

And why wouldn’t emotions run high after such a historic run? Knicks had just made NBA history… the first team ever to come back from 20-point deficits in back-to-back playoff games. “This team is for real!” shouted a Knicks fan outside the Garden. The defending champions looked stunned, and the crowd looked divided. New York fans? Ready to tear it all down, just like Dwyane Wade had predicted.
