For LSU, Angel Reese was their purple and gold queen. Off the court, even folks who’ve never watched a minute of basketball know her as the Bayou Barbie. That influence-era only fired up as she turned pro. Today, she leads the pack as one of the most-followed WNBA stars on social media. And at this point, let’s be real, she’s not just a baller, she’s the face. So when the fashion world’s biggest night rolled around, of course we expected Angel to show up and show out. But, we didn’t expect her to be running a whole marathon while doing it all.
So first up, on Friday, the Chicago Sky rolled into LSU for a preseason showdown against Brazil, and Reese, in front of her home crowd dropped 15 points and 10 boards later, the Sky secured a comfy 89–62 win. Then came Saturday. While her actual birthday was Tuesday, she celebrated her big 23 that night. Next, it was Sunday when Reese jetted off to NYC to prep for the Met Gala for her second year appearance. This time, she wasn’t just attending, she was on the committee.
The forward turned heads in a Thom Browne lace-up look, serving “Tailoring Black Style” like only she can. Then, she flew back to Chicago and landed at 2 a.m. on Tuesday. Why? To hoop again in another preseason game vs. the Lynx. And even on fumes, she dropped 9 points and grabbed 8 boards to help the Sky edge out a 74-69 win.
By the end of it all, she finally got a second to breathe and tweeted,“now i can tweet…. I MADE IT THROUGH God DID cause whew chileeeee im TIREDDDD”

Well, she must be. Because between the buckets, the birthday, and the red carpet, Chi-Town Barbie just ran the most fabulous full-court press we’ve ever seen.
Developing Story….
