Andy Reid Clears Stance on Retirement as Chiefs HC Reveals Game Plan on Defeating Nick Siriannni

How often are both teams in the Super Bowl the previous and current teams for a head coach? How often still that the coach is the winningest in both their franchise histories? It’s a rare phenomenon. Andy Reid, who was the Eagles HC from 1999-2012 before taking over at Kansas City in 2013, has gotten used to it now. Super Bowl LIX, a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, will feature the two franchises he knows so well. Both teams are strong, and have played great, but the real x-factor is that they haven’t played against each other this season. Last time both met, following the Chiefs 38-35 Super Bowl win, the Eagles squeezed out a 21-17 win. Nick Sirianni will be hoping for the same performance and outcome this time.

Meanwhile, Reid is also preparing for the game in the best way possible. On the January 31 episode of The Herd with Colin Cowherd, the Chiefs’ HC revealed his game plan for the ultimate game and said, “I’m always telling the guys that every step you take in the playoffs, the games get a little faster. It’s not just an effort thing. It’s that you’ve mastered kind of all these different schemes that we’ve got in and you can play fast. And it goes that way both sides and special teams.

The Birds fanbase, or the most of the NFL world is against the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl. But things are much deeper between the two HCs. Nick Sirianni was already working at the Chiefs for 4 years when Andy Reid arrived there in 2013. But he fired him to bring in new staff. Though the Eagles HC claimed he didn’t mind it, he would be also eager to show everyone he was the better by defeating him.

The Chiefs HC would like to stand with the legendary coaches or at least have a record of his own. A 3-peat is something never been done in the NFL before. But the challenge is mammoth. The Eagles dominated the Commanders by 55-23. But the Chiefs showed against Bills that they are ready for all situations.

There are also talks about his potential retirement after completing the 3-peat? What does he think about that?

Stay tuned. This story is developing.
