We are close to witnessing the first major of the 2025 schedule. Hype and expectations for the event are already high. And why wouldn’t it be? Players have already started to take a break to be in the best shape for the most exciting event, Masters 2025. Well, not just the players but also the crew and journalists are preparing for the grand event.

After THE PLAYERS, only the team of NBC Golf Channel was active, as CBS Sports holds broadcasting rights to approximately 19 events per season. Owing to the contract limitations, fans missed their favorite journalist Amanda Balionis, who earlier got into a conversation with Rory McIlroy after his win at Pebble Beach. She even congratulated Ludvig Aberg for his win at the Genesis Invitational (February 13-16) with the post-match interview. But after that, her season break had commenced. The reporter has been active in sharing her thoughts on social media about sports and even her day-to-day life. During her break, she was enjoying a different sport in the snowy mountains, i.e., skiing.

Now, as the Masters are just a few days away, Balionis has shared a message about her comeback. Along with the top names on the course, the fans’ favorite reporter will be in action. She took her Instagram story to share the calendar screenshot of March 23, Sunday, having no events.

But below it, she wrote, “Last Sunday that looks like this before we get it going next week… the countdown to Augusta, a great run of golf and the @anwagolf is officially on!” Masters will tee off from April 10 for the players, but for reporters, it is April 7, as the coverage from the range will begin. On April 7 and 8, two hours of on-the-range coverage will be showcased. On April 9, along with the coverage, the Par-3 contest will tee off.

Not just the players and reporters but the broadcaster has also stepped up to offer the best experience to the golf fans with the new advancement.

CBS Sports on Masters broadcast

With the top players and reporters joining in, the fans will get the best experience on the weekend. ESPN will broadcast the Masters on the first two days, while for the last two days, CBS Sports will take over. To make the weekend exciting, the channel is adding an extra hour of broadcast.

Last year, CBS aired the event from 3 to 7 PM ET on Saturday and 2 to 7 PM ET on Sunday. But for the 2025 season, both days will have 5 hours of pure golfing experience for the fans. Fred Ridley, the chairman of the Masters, has expressed, “The Masters Tournament has had the great fortune of enjoying an extraordinary relationship with CBS Sports for nearly 70 years. Alongside our friends at the network, we are pleased to extend the Tournament’s weekend coverage and ultimately deliver more live golf for Masters fans.”

Considering the past few events of the PGA Tour that got extended by 5 hours, the broadcaster has kept itself on the safer side by promising to deliver the best to the audience. The countdown to the Masters has already begun. Top names, reporters, and even broadcasters have started to prepare for the event. Who are you preparing to cheer for? Share your preference for the 2025 Masters in the comments below.
