AI Only Has 1 Thing to Say About Belal Muhammad’s Chances of Victory Against Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 315

5 min read

Despite being called one of the most boring fighters in the UFC, Belal Muhammad promised to show us action that we’d never want to miss. He assured, ”I’m gonna go in there, I’m gonna outbox Jack. I’m not gonna shoot one takedown, and I’m gonna show him the meaning of Canelo hands. I’m gonna show the UFC fighters and the fans that I’m the best boxer in the UFC, in the welterweight division.” However, Muhammad has never really faced anyone like Jack Della Maddalena ever before. And the welterweight title challenger knew it pretty well.

Della Maddalena claimed, “I think I’ve got more precision, accuracy, power. I think I got more dog in me.” He believed that his experience would truly get him a win over the current welterweight champion. And these words, beaming with confidence, have created a bit of confusion in the fighting community. So we decided to ask ChatGPT to predict the outcome of the bout between Muhammad and Della Maddalena. Let’s see what the AI had to say.

How will Belal Muhammad vs. Jack Della Maddalena go down as per AI?

The AI pointed out that Muhammad had a better cardio and a high fight IQ. His abilities make him a tough matchup in 5-round fights. On top of that, there’s his impeccable grappling prowess. ‘Remember The Name’ is also a pretty decent striker with 4.39 significant strikes landed per minute, with an accuracy of 43%. No wonder he promised to stick to striking. To make things worse, he often puts relentless pressure on his opponents. And this is mostly the reason why he’s on an 11-fight win streak.

But Della Maddalena is also a force to be reckoned with. Although he’s a bit weaker in the ground game, his striking has seen 53% accuracy with 6.74 significant strikes landed per minute. He’s currently on a 17-fight win streak, with 12 of his wins coming from KO/TKO. The thing that Muhammad desperately needs to be wary of is JDM’s knockout power. After all, he even defeated Gilbert Burns with a KO.

But the Palestinian champ could maintain a restless pace and adapt to JDM’s skills mid-fight. He would put immense pressure with his takedowns and wrestling throughout the contest. Meanwhile, Della Maddalena would prefer it to be an exchange of strikes. And if he connects a strong strike to Muhammad, we might actually see the rise of a new welterweight champion.

But is that really how UFC 315 will end? Needless to say, both fighters have their own strong suits. But only one can rise victorious. So, who does the AI believe has the potential to claim the win at UFC 315 main event?

AI predicts the outcome of UFC 315: Muhammad vs. Della Maddalena

The artificial intelligence made the judgment based on the welterweight stars’ styles, strengths, and fighting habits. According to ChatGPT, the first round will start with the Palestinian champion using feints and quick jabs to close the distance between him and JDM. Even though Muhammad promised not to execute any takedowns, the AI believed that there would be a few single-leg takedown attempts by the champion. The edge would go to Muhammad for cage control and volume. The same game would continue in the next round with a minimum of 2 minutes with Muhammad in control.

The third round will possibly witness Della Maddalena’s striking prowess. The Australian has a strong sense of striking, and he might catch Muhammad off guard. On the other hand, Muhammad has a tendency to avoid prolonged striking conquests and usually jumps in with a takedown. Well, he does have a takedown average of 228 takedowns landed per 15 minutes. However, this round will possibly go to Della Maddalena.

But it’s the championship rounds that push the fighters to show grit in the Octagon. Muhammad will indeed move in to drain Della Maddalena’s gas tank, and hence, the wrestling-heavy match would continue. Even though JDM has a takedown defense of 70%, he’d face trouble against Muhammad. With fatigue covering his lungs, the Australian will start to slip into Muhammad’s control. And with the final round, Muhammad will start to smell victory. Of course, no matter how strong his fists are, JDM will be unable to send Muhammad into the shadow realm with depleted energy. And ‘Remember The Name’ would have successfully defended his belt for the first time. The AI claimed, “If Muhammad can implement his wrestling and control the tempo, he stands a strong chance of securing a decision victory.”
