Have you ever tried to find solace by celebrating others’ success after having experienced a personal setback? To perhaps commemorate your friend topping the exam while you yourself performed at an average level? Well, doing so is not for everyone, especially when disappointments come to you on a rare basis. After having devoted 16 years to the NBA, however, Stephen Curry has experienced as many disappointments as successful moments. Therefore, he has learned to commemorate others’ achievements even if he himself faced a major setback. Fans were reminded of this fact as Curry recently turned his attention away from basketball and towards his other favourite sport: Golf.
The Golden State Warriors star recently took to his official Instagram account to share a post on his story for his 58.1 million followers. He featured Rory McIlroy’s recent feat, as the Northern Irish professional golfer became only the 6th ever person in his chosen sport to achieve a Grand Slam. 14 years of efforts finally culminated in McIlroy rolling in a three-footer to beat Justin Rose in a sudden-death play-off, and finally win his first Masters title. Stephen Curry was elated about this achievement. Therefore, along with highlighting the post that featured Rory McIlroy’s feat, Curry also added a caption that read “Your time good man! @rorymcilroy”.
Stephen Curry certainly needed to find solace through someone else’s achievements. After all, it was only a few hours ago when the Warriors lost a crucial game against the LA Clippers.
This is a developing story.
