Well, 2025 has been one of the hardest years for the Sanders family. While the Colorado Buffaloes quarterback hailed himself as the top pick in the NFL Draft, he did not hear his name until the fifth round. The Buffs quarterback went off as the 144th pick. Taking his brother, Shilo Sanders, into consideration, Shedeur is still in a better spot. The Buffs’ safety went undrafted. But while life threw lemons at the Sanders boys, they got blessed with something. When it comes to looking for support, they never have to look for outward sources. They have their biggest supporter in the fam. That’s none other than their brother, Deion Sanders Jr. While Shedeur is now part of the Cleveland Browns, he has already become a favorite. So much so that his new teammates came up with a beautiful gesture that touched Deion Jr. Time for some happy tears.
The Well Off Media tycoon, Deion Jr. is often the first one when it comes to cheering for his brothers. He follows the philosophy of “FAMILY, LOVE, LOYALTY.” Even after he was long removed from sports (after playing three seasons at SMU), he ensures that he never misses Shedeur and Shilo’s games. So, Deion Jr. has been a part of Shedeur’s rocky drive through the draft. When the New York Giants chose Jaxson Dart at No.25 and snubbed the Buffs QB, Buckey retweeted Philadelphia Eagles’ RB Le’Sean McCoy’s take. It read, “No wonder the [Giants] DONT WIN.” Shedeur was even misguided by Mike Tomlin, as the Pittsburgh Steelers did not take the quarterback even after praising him for his toughness.
But finally, when Deion Jr. found out that Shedeur had found a home, he could not control his emotions. In one of his episodes on the Well Off Media YT channel, which later got deleted, the proud big brother claimed, “My brother definitely did his thing though. Thousand percent. He looked really good. Almost cry seeing that. Everybody look good.” The time has now come for Deion Jr.’s heart to boast with more pride.
On May 10, he retweeted a video from the Buffs’ official X account, “We Coming.” It’s a clip from one of the Browns’ recent training camps. The video featured Shedeur along with the other Cleveland players. What immediately caught attention were Quinshon Judkins and Dylan Sampson’s actions. While others, including Shedeur, posed for the camera, Judkins and Sampson were having fun with the former Buffs quarterback. But how?

While Shedeur tried to low-key ignore them, the duo imitated his famous ‘watch flex’ move. They then broke into a hearty laugh while others joined in. And this video did not go unnoticed. Deion Jr. re-shared with a two-word heartfelt caption. It read, “That’s hard.” Even though Bucky boasts this, he knows how this gesture led to Shedeur’s slide down the draft.
Deion Sanders Jr.’s last plan for Shedeur Sanders backfired
Maybe the problem was not in Shedeur’s talents, but his off-the-field shenanigans. While the quarterback’s draft stock was heating up, there came a grounding alert. Back in February, NFL Rookie Watch came with an IG post. The caption was long. A part of it read:
“Shedeur Sanders is reportedly being placed behind Cam Ward on several team’s boards now due to ‘off-the-field/attitude’ concerns. One anonymous NFL GM reportedly believes there’s ‘red flags’ to Shedeur’s personality between his fiery attitude and the watch flexing.” They probably were living under the impression that Cam Ward giving his heart and soul to football makes him a sincere candidate.
However, in Shedeur’s case, his energy and attention are often divided between his passion for rapping. On top of that, since the pro league demands maturity, his ‘watch flex’ move might not have come off as mature. During that time, Shilo had taken a stand. As he commented on the post, “Nah I met Shedeur before , pretty cool guy.” However, the repercussions did not stop there. That’s when Deion Jr. stepped in to whitewash his step-brother’s image at the very last minute.
On April 22, just a few days before the NFL Draft, NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero came up with a report. It read, “My annual breakdown of the NFL Draft’s quarterbacks through the eyes of coaches, scouts and executives is here.” And obviously, Shedeur did not receive positive feedback. As one of the reports read, “The worst formal interview I’ve ever been in in my life. He’s so entitled. He takes unnecessary sacks. He never plays on time. He has horrible body language. He blames teammates… But the biggest thing is, he’s not that good.” This did not sit well with Deion Sanders Jr. He immediately retweeted with a sharp retort, “It’s actually funny as hell seeing these ‘executives’ straight up lie… or boldly say certain things when it’s a 100% lie.” But poor Bucky! His final push to vouch for Shedeur fell flat.
