Aaron Judge Reveals “Two Best Right-Handed Hitters” Who Shaped His MLB Dominance With Their Influence

4 min read

On and off the diamond – Aaron Judge had a kind of day that bent to this rhythm. A ballpark close to where his journey began, he helped push the New York Yankees to hand the Oakland Athletics a 12-2 loss in Sacramento. Now, the win alone would be a highlight of the day, but interestingly, there’s more that will amuse you.

We’ve watched Judge take over close calls time and again with his dominance. After going against the Athletics, his batting average sits at .409. Not to forget, he had 4 hits, which now matches his career high for the 13th time. It’s not even surprising anymore, as throughout the season, Judge has put on a stellar show amidst the Yankees’ injury setbacks.

After a dominating outing, Judge paid homage to his childhood heroes – the “two best right-handed hitters” he looks up to. Judge believes it’s Miguel Cabrera and Albert Pujols who have really shaped him. He stated, “I try to model a lot of the stuff I do after Cabrera and Pujols.” Judge is truly inspired by these two. He also further added that time and again, he attempts to follow their path.

In his words: “I’m just trying to follow their lead and wherever I’m at in the lineup, I’ve got to do my job.” Now you see, Miguel Cabrera and Albert Pujols are the greatest of all time. In fact, they are the members of the 3000-hit and 500-home-runs club.

Judge, himself being one of the greatest in the major leagues, never fails to give the Yankees a much-needed lead to stay on top. He admitted that as long as the Yankees (23-17) are winning, he’s happy. However, right now he’s not satisfied. He believes there’s always room for improvement and the Yankees as a whole are trying to refine their team performance more.

It’s fair to say that Judge’s obsession is discipline. Even being the greatest slugger of this era, he is on a personal mission to look up to the greatest of the sport and refine his game.

Leading the Yankees and Defining a brand: Aaron Judge does it all

We are all on the same page that Aaron Judge, the captain of the New York Yankees, has been one of the greatest sluggers of this generation.

Would you believe that Judge, who delivers exceptionally in every outing, believes that he hasn’t been his best in the Yankees’ first 40 games? Yes, absurd! Because, when he plays, it feels like the only player who can beat him is Judge himself.

The Yankees have had winning odds in their favor in 13 of their 21 home games. Judge has contributed well in all of these games. Moreover, he has topped the headlines for his performance throughout this season.

In fact, he also added another feather to his crown back in April when he became the captain of Team USA for the 2026 World Baseball Classic. If that wasn’t enough, he is now making waves in something else. As a part of his personal brand, he has introduced to the world a new line of socks. Yes, that’s right.

Where did he get the inspiration, though? It’s the 9/11 community that had a role in inspiring him. And the stunning designs are by Judge himself. Taking it to Instagram, he revealed the socks, captioning them as “Game-changing socks!!”

Winning hearts in Yankeeland and defining his brand, Judge has also founded the ALL RISE Foundation. It’s an initiative to help the little ones and the youth to become responsible citizens. At this point, he is arguably a jack of all trades. Well, there’s nothing Judge cannot do. Both on and off the field – He’s limitless!
