The only team that has been stopping Indiana Fever in their tracks is none other than the Connecticut Sun. Fireworks erupted when the teams clashed for the first time this season. So, when Fever player Sophie Cunningham and held Sun’s Jacy Sheldon in the final quarter, the results were far from disappointing. With players ejected and fines imposed, the WNBA took a stand against the overtly aggressive on-court behavior.

But things took a different turn today. WNBA Insider, Emily Adams shared a shocking insight before the games began. A video surfaced online, portraying Sun fans showering love and appreciation towards a Fever staffer, Briann January. She posted the clip with a caption that read, “Former Sun player and assistant coach Briann January, now an assistant for Indiana, getting love from both the CT and Fever fans!” January was a former Connecticut Sun player who later joined Indiana Fever as a referree.
