Injury Report

Indiana Fever

Caitlin Clark: Out (Groin)

Injured in their last meeting on July 15 during the final minutes of the game, Caitlin Clark remains out for the Indiana Fever, owing to right groin troubles. Since then, she has missed 12 consecutive games. However, according to recent reports, she has started working out on the court but has yet to practice with the team. As of now, there is no timeline for Caitlin Clark’s return to action.

Sydney Colson: Out (Torn ACL)

Indiana Fever’s veteran offseason addition, Sydney Colson, has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering an ACL injury. She suffered this injury during the first quarter of the Indiana Fever’s game against the Phoenix Mercury on August 7.

Aari McDonald: Out (Broken Foot)

In the same game against the Phoenix Mercury, the Indiana Fever were handed a double blow. After Sydney Colson went down in the first quarter, Aari McDonald followed suit in the fourth quarter. After the injury, it was announced that Aari McDonald will miss the rest of the 2025 WNBA season.

Connecticut Sun

Unlike the Indiana Fever, the Connecticut Sun has an empty infirmary. Their entire roster is healthy, fit, and available for selection by head coach Rachid Meziane.

Will the Indiana Fever win tonight?

According to ESPN’s matchup predictor, the Indiana Fever have a 72.7% chance of winning the game, as they hold an edge over the Connecticut Sun in every major statistical category. The Indiana Fever has a better offense and defense. They also move the ball better, as they average 3 more assists per game compared to the Connecticut Sun. The Sun does have an edge in two categories: steals and blocks recorded per game.

On paper, this should be an easy win for the Indiana Fever. However, with injuries to some of their main players and shocking losses against the Dallas Wings and Washington Mystics, the momentum is against them. Meanwhile, the Connecticut Sun is coming off a win against the Chicago Sky and would look to continue their winning ways.

Will the Indiana Fever get over their recent losses and get back to winning ways? Or will they be dealt another major blow in their pursuit of playoff spots?
